The three teleported back to the boat leaving the count to work on turning the county around.
"Thank you for your help." Basen thanked Choi Han and dragon before joining his brother in his room.
He waited patiently for his brother to wake up, the little dragon had already joined the kittens on the bed. With everything that had happened recently, they hadn't had the opportunity to see their guardian often and they intended to make up for lost time. Basen simply took advantage of this quiet time, he knew full well that it wouldn't last long.
The young master woke up later in the evening after a good dinner, Basen told him about the incident with the priest. As expected Cale called their father directly who reassured him that he had the situation under control and given the vicious smile on his face, he could believe it was true.
This time Cale didn't fall asleep right away, he still had important things to do but he didn't forget the case of the god of death, he will certainly end up making him regret this incident which was entirely his fault.
It was dark outside now, Cale was on the deck with the little dragon. The others were still up despite the hour, he had them informed him of the whales' visit later. And everyone seemed to want to be there with him when he met her, he didn't really know why but he let them do it.
Before all that Cale had to have a conversation with a dragon. The question of his name had been asked to him several months ago now, it was time to tell him what he had decided in the hope that he would like it.
The black dragon was leaning on the railing of the boat looking at the sea for the first time, at night it was even more magnificent than during the day with the reflection of the moon on the water. Cale approached him, he was a little embarrassed he didn't know how to approach the subject. Luckily for him, the dragon had decided to ask first.
"Human, about this name... have you... have you decided on something?" He hadn't looked at him while saying it, simply continuing to observe the surroundings.
"Of course, I know what I can name you. It's linked to an old memory,.. a friend who was very dear..."
"Can I meet this friend?" He seemed very interested in the emotions that crossed Cale's face at the mention of his friend.
"I'm sure he would have liked you, but unfortunately he has been gone for a long time." Faced with the expression of sadness, he approached his human to comfort him.
"Raon miru, that's the name I want to give you."
"What does that mean?" Raon pulled away from the hug to look at him with sparks of joy in his eyes.
"Nothing that exists here, it's a unique name that is not of this world." Raon immediately understood that this was important to his human, of course, he accepted it! He nodded with a huge smile with tears in his eyes before throwing himself on Cale who took him in his arms without knowing what to do but he couldn't refuse a child.
"Thank you."
Their hug lasted for a while before a noise in the distance was heard telling, telling them that their guests were about to arrive.
They moved one from the other away but Raon had stayed next to him as always. Choi han and Basen had just left the cabin, they were obviously not going to leave Cale alone to meet someone.
As Witiria had told him, she was accompanied by her father, her brother and another unknown person, well not for Cale.
"Hello, welcome your majesty." Cale greeted the whale king as soon as his group arrived on deck.
"Hello, there is no need for all these conventions. I wanted to meet you to thank you personally for saving my son and helping our tribe."
"It's nothing we have an agreement after all." Cale already wanted them to leave, he could feel a burning look coming from Archie. As expected his personality matched what he had read in the book. He was sure the man was angry that someone like him had to move his king on top of this casual conversation they had was not helping his situation.
He was clearly in trouble, he could feel the old aura power manifesting under the man's gaze. He could already feel a dull ache coming from his heart. In addition to Raon's angry muttering who had noticed the killer whale's gaze. He was sure that Choi Han would soon join the dragon causing more problems. They absolutely could not fight here on a boat in the middle of the sea.
Cale in his inner panic did not even pay attention to the conversation in front of him, the killer whale was becoming angrier at the noble's contempt for his king. Which forced the power to finally make itself known. Choi Han and Basen were already looking at him asking him what was happening with a slight hint of worry. The other three whales and especially Paston and his sister were amazed by the aura felt from Cale while their king was intrigued.
-"Human, your brother asks what you are doing?" The little dragon communicated telepathically to ask his question.
Cale tried to resume the conversation with the whales, all while trying to explain to his family the problem and especially that it was not his fault even if he was sure that it would make them angry. Their anger on the killer whale was better than on him if he would faint again or use his powers carelessly.
"I can't do anything, the power reacts alone when it feels threatened." Raon heard his answer perfectly, he was hanging on his shoulder so that they could whisper discreetly.
He was sure that the others had heard Raon's answer because only a minute later Choi Han had his sword at the killer whale's neck. No one moved, too shocked by the sudden movement of the swordsman who clearly seemed angry.
Basen approached his brother with a hand on his shoulder with concern. Cale was finally able to breathe properly now that Archi's gaze was no longer on him, the power and his heart calming down.
He was really curious about what Raon had told them to make them react so quickly and especially so viciously.
"What's going on?" The king asked but made no move to help Archi.
"I'm sorry about this but we had to intervene quickly. Your guard was hurting my brother." Basen glared at the incriminated man.
"I didn't do anything!" He quickly defended himself but the sword at his neck pressed harder.
"It's a bit hard to explain but my brother is sick and his attitude is making it worse." Basen could see the king thinking before nodding and heading towards the killer whale.
He had forgotten about it before the incident but it's true that his children had spoken about the young man's dire condition. He had already warned this idiot but apparently he hadn't listened to him as always.
He signaled to the sword master to step aside, he hesitated but after a nod from Basen he moved away.
The king didn't even hesitate for a second before taking the killer whale by the neck and making it kneel in front of his son's saviors.
"Apologize immediately and be quiet or we'll have another interesting conversation later."
Archi did so although reluctantly.
Basen nodded gratefully and accepted the apology.
"Raon bring Cale inside, I will take care of our guests."
He didn't protest, he was exhausted from this day. This situation was really boring but at least he didn't have to take care of these people anymore. Even if he looked more like a scolded child who was sent back to bed...
"I think it would be better to cut this evening short, I'd like to join my brother inside." Basen retrieved the objects that the whales had come to bring back from the king's hands.
"I hope he's going to be okay." Paston asked the same thing of his sister and his father wanted to ask.
"Yes with a little rest it should be fine, of course if there are no more problems by then." Basen said it to reassure some and to make others feel guilty.
"What's wrong with him? You were of course not obliged to share him with us." The king asked maybe he could help the young man in certain way.
"His condition is a bit complicated at the moment but unfortunately we can't do anything about it."
This upset the whales, thinking that maybe their savior didn't have long to live. Which wasn't really entirely wrong, he was still critical but more dying thanks to a certain god.
"We will try to find something to help your brother." The king looked sincere and determined, Basen simply thanked him and they then left with wishes for recovery and more apologies for the killer whale's behavior.
