Hello reader, if you yourself think you're somewhat special, close this book. Widening your knowledge about the peculiarity that we didn't ask for, might also be what will end us, or if you're tough enough, do read me. But be forewarned,

for what danger awaiting is not merciful enough to spare you.

Each coin's side has a name, heads and tails. And every side tells a bizarre story, but the side of tails tell much more than heads. A backstory what some might call it.

In the bustling city of Whitby, England, there lies a girl, an ordinary girl.

She goes to school in Caedmon College, obviously in Whitby. She also works as a waitress at Dawn's Diner, - fun fact; she's been working there for the past 3 years, ever since she was twelve. From a helping hand at the counter, to a real employee with a minimal paying salary.

She also lives in South Chapel street, downtown. She doesn't have any parents, so she lives with her Aunt Suzy in a sort of "dilapidated, but clean inside" victorian flat, you may ask, why doesn't she live with her uncle? Because they live in Florida, USA and that's 10 to 12 hours from the place where she got abandoned, the authorities that found her ringed up her nearest relative, Suzy P. Sterling, her aunt.

And also, the other reason why she didn't live with her uncle is that they weren't that close, hell, she didn't even know him, she only knew her distant aunt (Suzy) that would attend some of her birthday and give her unwanted gifts like playdough knowing damn well she's already thirteen years old at that point.

- Moving on.

The street cars move at a certain pace, no traffic in the street, but not really that empty.

A girl was crossing the street, her worn out all star shoes on the moist rough granite concrete, her cable knit wool sweater keeping her warmth in the slightly foggy dawn, she liked the way the wind felt, the soft cool breeze finding its way behind her hair and around her nape, these were the small moments she loved to cherish.

She reached a deli shop and asked for a marble rye bagel with roast beef and scallion cream cheese, and obviously a diet pepsi, can't ever forget the bev. The year was 2016, no problems other than the Brexit movement and ISIS terrorist attacks.

She was on her way to class when she was untimingly graced by the presence of a black cat, she stopped in her tracks and whispered, "Please don't cross me.", and as the words left her mouth, it crossed her path, slowly, as if it were tauntingly kidding her. But that wasn't really all that bad, it's not like she's gonna experience anything better in the past few days anyway.

She got into her advisory class, she found an empty seat near the back, second to the last row and luckily a window seat. She placed her used, but loved tote bag underneath her table and ate her bagel peacefully. She looked out of the window and stared into the unknown, her school was near an ocean dock so she could see the boats of the fishermen, cats trying to spot an unlucky fish. It was really lovely. Not until Jeanie arrived.

Immediately she finished her bagel, drank her pepsi and went onto her iphone SE, she recently bought it from her own allowance and work money.

I was serenely scrolling on my phone the background chatter immersing me more in my gadget, reading certain topics about holocausts and the victims and other stuff older people would tell younger generations that they wouldn't understand. Until I got blasted with ratchet voice coming from behind.

"Hey maxi pad!"

"I see you're still reading like an old fogey."

"Be careful, you might get menopause from being such a hag."

Really? Is that all you've got? Calling me a maxi pad? What a pathetic insult, and her minions don't even know how to connect certain topics? Really? Maxi pad, old fogey, menopause, and hag?

Those were all the words forming inside my head as I ignore them. I whispered to myself.

"At least i'm not illiterate and a total burden who can't even wash her own skid marks from her panties."

Jeanie heard it.

"What did you say?"

I obviously answered.

"You didn't hear me say it, but I know you understand me."

Luckily for me, the advisory teacher arrived in the class on time before Jeanie got to bruising my face to a pulp like a moldy grape.

"Good Morning, Sir Callahan."

The whole class replied in a forced gleeful monotone voice. The professor told us to settle down in our seats and had announced that this whole day would be free for spirit week. Everyone rejoiced from their seats and some were screeching, yelling and laughing from joy. Who wouldn't? I did. Spirit week wasn't really my thing, it was mostly reserved for popular kids, sweaty jocks, and horny band kids. And there belonged Jeanie, Jeanette Pauline Kantrowitz and her two revolting minions, Kenna Jobsen & Leiann Donahue. Oh and how could I forget, her smorgasbord smelling boyfriend, Trent Reichenbach.

We had all homeroom period to roam the school in order to make props for spirit week, some other subjects like History, Science and Arts also let us do the same thing, like decorating the hallways and other stuff like that. It was a very chill day, I guess. It was the last period, I was sharpening my pencil, but then the sharpener broke, the plastic part shattered? It was normal for old sharpeners to break so I just disassembled it and got the blade, I started to manually sharpen my pencil like a victorian child in the 1800s, I suddenly cut my finger.

I winced a bit, the wound burned slightly, but not as bad as when my aunt would accidentally spill boiling hot coffee on my back when I was a kid.

I reached for my handkerchief and wiped the blood away, what, did you think i'd lick it like some moron?

I bandaged it up with some masking tape, I know it's dumb, but desperate times call for desperate solutions.

The bell finally rang, it was 5:36 PM, six minutes past dismissal. I think the bell's faulty again. But shoving that thought aside, I can finally get out of this place and get back to my shift at work, then rest my half-lifeless body back at home.

I leave the classroom, go to my locker and got my stuff. I looked at myself in the mirror that's inside my locker and wondered, "Is this why I don't have any friends?", and then my mind wanders off to Jeanie again, her and her stupid friends. I don't know if I have body dysmorphia, or if i'm just ugly. And here I am again, unknowingly, i'm back to being twelve, and thinking that pretty privilege is going to be the thing that's gonna end me.

I pack up my stuff inside of my tote bag and leave the premises of my school campus, it's only five post meridiem but the sun's setting already, I rush to Dawn's Diner, the place I work at, and clock in using the login book, I write my name and the time I got there. I change into my uniform and go to the back to refill some of the ingredients that were gone from the afternoon.

If you were wondering what my uniform looked like, it consisted of a black long sleeve polo shirt, a mustard yellow tie, black slacks, and also a mustard yellow waist apron that had our diner's logo, which is a retroesque sun with a smiley face. Oh, and the shoes should be black.

Moving back to my shift, I finished working at the back, refilling the condiments, toppings, and all the works. I went up to the front to multitask being the cashier and waitress. This diner sucked in my opinion, it was only four of us working in each shift, and to be honest, the people I work here with make it worth staying. In shorter words, they're kind of my friends.

And i'm sure you wanna get to know them. The two cashiers I multitask with is Adam and Renée. And the two who are in charge of the drive through and cooking the food is Gale and Claire.

Passing time with them felt just like seconds, I didn't even knew i've been at the diner for 7 hours. Obviously, my shift ended 2 hours ago. I know i'm late on going home, but it's not like my aunt's gonna notice.

I clock out from my shift and logout from the record book. I change back into my previous clothes and went out to buy some bread, cheese, milk and cereal. I went into the small grocery shop across the street from downtown which was from where I live and there was this new employee, I was checking out and he struck a really awkward conversation with me.

"Hey, i've never seen you buy here before."

"Are you new?"

He smiled at me like a jerk's first time hitting on a girl.

"I've been buying from this small grocery shop since I was a fetus."

"Fancy talking to you,

I look at his name tag,

Greg. I'm also fifteen years old, you pedo."

I watched his ears turn red in panic.

I already knew he was older since his face was clean shaven, maybe about 23 years old or so? I introduced myself to him as fifteen to let him know i'd call the cops if he's gonna do anything more suspicious than that. I pack up the groceries I bought in a brown paper bag and went home.

- At home.

I opened the gate of the apartment door, I walked up about 4 flight of stairs before getting to the hallway that our house is in, I walk up to the door that has the numbers "412" written on it. I unlocked the door to be graced with the wafting smell of tobacco from my aunt's cigarettes. I closed the door behind me, and placed the brown paper bag on our kitchen counter. I saw my aunt in the living room, sleeping. She doesn't drink anymore but she does stay up late, I bet she was up again yesterday. I grab the nearest blanket on the couch and draped it over her cold body, providing warmth.

I took a shower and brushed my teeth in the bathroom and I got into my pajamas.

I turned off the tv that was playing in the living room where my aunt slept, I can't afford to pay more electricity bills.

I went to bed at around 10:18 PM, I was scrolling on my phone and fell asleep.
