Sky leaned against the hotel balcony.

He stared at the city lights flickering beneath him, his jaw tight.

He hadn't seen Nani for days.

That persistent guy who had chased him like a shadow, begging him to stop smoking, verge of crying as if his whole world would collapse if Sky destroyed himself—

Gone.

At first, Sky had scoffed.

*"Finally, that crazy dude got tired."*

But the silence gnawed at him more than he cared to admit nani isn't following him for a quiet long.

Every night, he brought someone new to the hotel—girls, boys—whoever threw themselves into his arms first.

He never touched them.

Instead, he led them to the small kitchen inside the suite, voice cold and detached.

*"Cook something for me."*

They always blinked, confused, but did what he asked.

Sky sat at the table, watching every movement—the way they chopped vegetables, stirred soup, plated the food.

Every bite tasted the same.

Wrong.

He couldn't remember his mother's cooking—he had been too young when she died—but something in his bones still recognized the emptiness.

Sky had everything but the only thing Sky ever craved was warmth.

But no one could give it to him.

No one had ever really *tried.*

Until Nani.

*"You're my world."*

Sky clenched his jaw, the memory slicing through him like a knife.

His heart twisted painfully.

That night in the bar... the way Nani had looked at him, as if Sky was the only person in the whole universe—

It wasn't a trick.

Sky *knew* it wasn't.

Yet Nani was gone.

Sky flicked the cigarette between his fingers, frustration bubbling under his skin.

*"What the fuck he gave up on me?"*

He slammed his fist against the balcony railing.

"If you love me that much, why aren't you showing up anymore?"

The words escaped before he could stop them, carried away by the cold night air.

His own voice echoed in his ears—

Pathetic.

Desperate.

He hated it.

But the ache in his chest only grew heavier with every passing day.

**Next Day**

Sky stood in front of Nani's medical college, leaning casually against his car with sunglasses on, pretending not to care. He scanned the students coming out, but his heart thumped faster when his eyes finally caught Nani's figure.

Nani looked exhausted—dark circles under his eyes, his white coat wrinkled—but to Sky, he still looked... heavenly. It pissed him off how his heart reacted without his permission.

Nani froze mid-step when he saw Sky. His heart skipped a beat. *Is this real?*

"Sky... Why are you here?" Nani asked, confusion swirling in his tired eyes.

Sky smirked, hiding the strange warmth in his chest. "Where do you live? I'll drive you."

Nani blinked, trying to process. "Huh?"

"Just get in," Sky said, voice low. "Or should I shout in front of your college that you're stalking me every night?"

Nani's heart dropped. He didn't expect Sky to notice all those nights he followed him from afar. Embarrassment flickered in his eyes, but he stayed silent and slipped into the car.

The whole ride was awkward. Sky tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, sneaking glances at Nani.

"You live alone?" Sky finally asked when they reached the small, rundown house.

"Yeah... I'm an orphan," Nani answered, voice barely above a whisper.

Something twisted inside Sky's chest. He didn't know why that simple answer hurt him.

Without asking for permission, Sky followed Nani inside.

The house was cold, lifeless felt like haunted one—no family photos, barely any furniture. It felt like nobody had lived there for years.

"Sorry for the mess," Nani mumbled, placing his bag on the table. "I'm barely here... Medical life isn't easy."

Sky's eyes scanned the empty walls before landing on Nani.

"So... your name is Nani." His voice was unusually soft. "Nani Hirunkit, right?"

Nani's breath caught.

Hearing his name from Sky's mouth after these long time—

He felt like crying right there.

"Y-Yeah..."

Sky leaned against the wall, arms crossed. He looked at Nani with unreadable eyes.

"You begged me to stop smoking and drinking... And thanks to that, I'm not cool anymore. No one's attracted to me now. I'm bored."

Nani's heart ached. He opened his mouth to say something, but Sky cut him off.

"So... since I'm bored, you have to date me."

Nani's heart stopped.

"W-What...?"

Sky smirked like it was the most casual thing in the world.

"You love me, don't you?" he teased. "Being a little bit *senior,* you can teach me a few new things. We'll both benefit."

Nani stood frozen, staring at him like he'd been slapped what a cruel joke is this.

His chest felt too tight—too full of emotions fighting to burst out.

"You're messing with me..." Nani whispered, voice shaking.

Sky's smirk faltered just a little, but he quickly masked it.

"What's wrong, future Doctor? You begged me on your knees to make me live like a boring fool.. Now you're chickening out?"

Nani clenched his fists behind his back, nails digging into his palms.

He wanted to scream.

*Damn fool You were my everything...*

*I lost you over and over again...*

But instead, he forced a smile.

"If that's what you want..." Nani's voice cracked, eyes glassy. "Okay."

Sky grinned, thinking he'd won.

But he didn't see how badly Nani was breaking inside.

Because to Sky...

This was just a game.

But to Nani—

It was the last chance to hold on to the person he'd loved across lifetimes.
