Jensen

3 Months Later

Billie's car came to a halt on a long gravel driveway, sitting perfectly in an open field was a three-story farmhouse. Twenty feet away rested a huge barn painted the same white color of the house.

"Welcome to your new home Jensen." Billie smiled, unbuckling her seatbelt. She swung open her driver's side door and stepped out, the wind blowing her thick, curly black hair. She made her way around to the trunk and quickly opened it.

Jensen sat still in the backseat of her car, since awakening from his coma he had been in Billie's care, until two weeks ago when he discovered he was being put in a foster home for his own safety.

His door swung open, and Billie stood there, his suitcase standing beside her. He didn't understand why she brought him a suitcase; she had bought new clothes for him to wear, yet not many. A simple backpack could've carried all of his belongings.

Jensen stepped out into the opening, the cold wind smashing against his face like splinters. His eyes began to water at the coldness. The two made their way up the wooden porch, every step creaking. Billie slightly knocked at the front door; within seconds it was swung open.

A thin, pale woman stood in the entryway with a huge smile across her face. Her light-brown hair fell to her shoulders and her green eyes seemed to become gentler at the sight of Jensen.

"Annie this is Jensen." Billie introduce the two.

            "Hi Jensen." Annie smiled.

"Are you going to make them stand outside all day?" An unfamiliar, deep voice asked with a slight chuckle. The three turned to a man standing behind Annie, practically hovering over her. He had a scruffy look to him; his short black hair matched his beard. His light, brown eyes held caution within.

"Jensen this is Annie's husband, Jack Freeman." Billie introduced.

"Nice to meet you man." Jack said, holding his fist in Jensen's direction. Yet, Jensen stood still, he glanced at his wrinkled knuckles before glancing up at his eyes.

"Jensen that was rude." Billie whispered. "I'm sorry he's just cautious."

"That's totally fine," Jack assured her, his hand dropping to his side. "Come inside."

Their house smelt of burned wood with heavy cinnamon, family pictures of the two of them covered every inch of the wall. "This is our home, we hope you grow to love it." Annie smiled.

"I'll show him to his bedroom then come talk to you before I leave." Billie suggested.

Annie gave an understanding nod before the two disappeared upstairs; they reached the third floor where only two doors remained. They entered the one close to the end of the hallway.

Billie closed the door behind the two as Jensen threw his suitcase on top of his new bed. His room was painted a dark blue with sport posters hung all around. "Why did you place me with a family like them?" Jensen asked.

"For one that is very rude Jensen," Billie suggested, "And what's wrong with them?"

            "Their happy." Jensen answered.

            Billie chuckled, "So?"

"Maybe because I don't fit into their perfect American dream family. If I have one of my attacks their going to wish they never fostered me. They're not going to have any clue what they should do with me." Jensen explained.

"Jensen trust me I know these two. All they have ever wanted was to care for a child, they'll love you unconditionally like you're their own child." Billie suggested.

"But I'm not their son Billie. I'm a complete stranger to those two." Jensen said, turning to face her.

"I know your scared Jensen, but you have nothing to be afraid of when it comes these two." Billie assured him. "I have to go talk them real quick before I leave, just make yourself at home and try to get to know the two of them before you judge them."

Without another ward Billie exited the room leaving him alone in an unfamiliar place. He fell back on his bed, part of him wished to sleep yet he grew to have insomnia from all the nightmares he started to have once awakening from his coma. Every type of department even journalist attempted to question him what happened the night his body was found, yet he couldn't remember a single thing before awakening from his coma. He felt terrible at the thought of being unable to remember his own family. Who did this to him? Who was his attempted killer? Who wanted him dead? Who killed all of his family? Who was the only question that lingered throughout his mind day and night. His nightmares had gotten terrible to the point he went days without having a good night's rest. He believed his night terrors made Billie want to remove him from her house. She grew tired of dealing with him.

He began to feel trapped in this room and quickly sat up, he knew he shouldn't do what he thought, but he had to know what Billie was telling them about him.

Jensen snuck quietly out of his room and down the first staircase but came to a quick halt halfway on the second, around the wall was where the kitchen was.

"Would you like some tea?" Annie asked, grabbing three glass cups covered with sunflowers down from the cabinets.

"Yes please." Billie sighed, already sitting at the table beside Jack. Annie carried the glasses and place each one day before taking a seat herself. "I feel before I leave you with Jensen you have to know what more he suffers from."

Jack and Annie exchanged a concern glance before turning their attention back to her. "Go ahead." Jack responded.

"Jensen is a unique boy who you all know survived a very violent attack." Billie began to explain. "Unfortunately, this has come with multiple outcomes and situations." She took a small sip of her tea before placing the cup gently back down. "Jensen suffers from night terrors about what happened that night, he became afraid to sleep so he suffers from insomnia. Jensen cannot remember his life before awakening from his coma, so I beg that you two do not ask questions about his past."

"We were not planning on asking questions about what happened," Annie assured her, "You know how much this means to us to have a son once again, we wouldn't ruin it."

"Since he's in your custody now I may not come by as much in order for him to be able to grow into this environment. He has become attached to me since I've been there when he awoke from his coma. But if you do have any questions about anything do not hesitate to call me." Billie said.

"What's the best thing we can do when he has a night terror?" Jack asked, concerned.

"You have to hold him down, when he awakes from the night terror, he believes he's in the situation of the attack again. It's best to hold him down and speak to him gently to calm him down."

"What if that doesn't work?" Annie asked.

"It always does," She stood from her chair, grabbing her briefcase and jacket before saying her goodbyes. The two walked her to the front door before closing it behind her.

Celestia

Her heart rushed at the sight of a house in the middle of nowhere, a new place she would be remaining until she managed to turn eighteen. Ward and Micah had become her legal guardians when she awoke from her coma until two weeks ago when the state ordered that she be placed with an actual foster family.

"This is ridiculous we have been there since she awoke from her coma. We have taken care of her for almost three months, but somehow, we've become unfit to take care of her?" Micah questioned, shaking his head.

"I know it's hard to understand but we can't argue with the federal government, plus were placing her with someone we can always visit. She'll be in good hands." Ward tried to reassure him, even his own self.

Micah opened her car door and helped her out of the backseat, they made their way to the front door.

"Plus, it's not like we've done anything wrong for her to be removed from our house." Micah couldn't allow the situation to go.

"Come on we shouldn't speak about the situation when she's right here." Ward suggested.

Celestia didn't mind this, she had grown used to their continuous bickering about every possibility. She stood still between the two until the front door of the house swung open and an Egyptian like male stood there. He had short curly, black hair and these unique gold-like brown eyes. He wore a bright smile across his face.

"I see you two have yet to get over your bickering stage." The man joked; a small accent attached to his words.

"Hello nice to see you too Rami." Micah sarcastically said before pushing past the man.

"Micah come on where's your manners!" Ward yelled. He turned his attention to Celestia and ushered for her to enter the house.

Rami this Celestia your new foster." Ward introduced the two as the door closed behind them.

"Nice to meet you." Rami said, holding his hand out. She hesitated glancing at the palm of his cracked hand.

The sudden creak of the stairs sent a shiver down her spine, her eyes flew to the direction of the staircase where a young teenage boy stood. He had similar features to the man standing in front of her. He had the same dark, curly brown hair and light golden-brown eyes. His skin tone even the same, just a touch lighter.

"Ahh," Rami said, catching her cautious glance towards the boy, "This is my son Adam." The boy made his way down to the last step and stopped. "Adam, could you show her where her room will be at?"

"Sure dad." He mumbled. He turned on his feet and headed back up the staircase, she hesitated but quickly followed behind. Her hand gripped the rail of the stairway, she hesitated with every step she took. Her bedroom fell at the end of the hallway, painted a beige, white. Her bed covers pink, a color she always hated.

"My dad wanted to give you a pink room, he didn't know exactly what your favorite color was, but he guessed since most girls like pink, you would too." Adam explained, shoving his hands in his front pants pocket.

"It's definitely not my favorite color," Celestia responded, "But I am thankful."

"Well, my friends are going to pick me up here soon, I'll see you later." He suggested, disappearing out of the room without another room. She took a seat on the edge of the bed; it was surprisingly comfortable.

A sigh escaped from her pale, pink lips. She stood up and made her way down the staircase, she started to enter the kitchen until their voices filled her head.

"Rami we want to thank you for taking Celestia in for us without hesitation." Ward stated. "But there are things you should know more about her before we leave her with you."

Rami sipped from his antique teacup, "I'm listening."

"Since the day she snapped out of her coma she hasn't been able to remember anything." Micah suggested, "So I would love if you could tell Adam and his friends not to ask her anything."

"I understand, my son and his friends will not be able to do that." Rami assured him.

"Theres something else." Ward suggested, their attention shifting to him, "Celestia suffers from panic attacks. Not just any panic attacks, but terrible ones. It's hard to calm her down. So, when she starts having panic attacks have her sit down and try your best to talk her back into reality."

"Has no one prescribed her any medication, like a therapist?" Rami asked concerned.

"She's been to therapist before, but she doesn't talk. She feels like there's nothing to speak about when she can't remember the tragic moment that took place in her life." Micah suggested.

"Maybe her and I could have sessions, after all I am a therapist." Rami suggested.

"We would totally be fine with that, but you would have to make sure she's okay with going through something like that." Ward suggested.

"We can speak to her about it in maybe a week," Rami stated, "First I want to get her comfortable with being inside my home."

"Well, it was nice talking with you," Ward said before standing from his chair, Micah following, "We have to get going before were late, captain would hate us even more."

The two began to make their way out of the kitchen and into the living room, stopping dead in their tracks at the sight of Celestia.

"I'll show y'all out." Celestia said, clearing her throat. The three exited the house and started to walk down from the porch. "Do I really have to stay here?" She asked, as Ward opened the driver side door.

"Celestia's it's not up to us; it's up to the state to put you somewhere safe to live." Micah explained.

"It's not safe for me, I don't know that guy!" Celestia said, her voice raising.

"Celestia calm down before you have one of your attacks." Ward tried to warn her.

"Sorry I forgot that's something you're scared of." She cockily said.

"Were not arguing with you," Ward suggested, "We have to be at work." He quickly climbed inside his vehicle and slammed the door closed. Micah gave her a worried glance before climbing inside the passenger side. The vehicle started and quickly headed down the driveway.

Celestia frustratedly sighed before turning to face the house to see Rami standing on the front porch, worried.
