"You'll design my wedding cards?" I asked, savoring the flash of hurt in Zain's eyes

"What?" he stuttered, clearly caught off guard.

"Ugh, you told Dad you'd help with the wedding chores. So, do it. I have important work, and I can't be bothered with designing cards. But we can trust you with this, right?" I pressed, watching as pain flickered across his face.

He nodded stiffly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah..

" I'd like you to design the wedding cards for my special day. Here are some specifics: use bold letters, make the detail page red, and give it a unique touch. It's for Saarah Khan and Rehan Rizvi's wedding, so don't forget the surname.": I said and he nod at me and I left from there yup I was rude to him , but that's what he deserve .

I stepped into my room, and my eyes landed on a beautiful bouquet of lavender roses. My heart skipped a beat - they're my favorite! But who could have put them here? My mind immediately went to Zain, but something about it didn't feel right. I had told him once that if the person I hated the most gave me those flowers, I'd throw them away. And Zain knew that. Plus, he wouldn't dare enter my room without permission. I pushed the bouquet aside, trying to shake off the conflicting emotions swirling inside me.

The mystery of the roses was solved, and I couldn't help but smile at the sweet gesture. The handwritten note, "You're the fragrance that fills my world," was beautiful, and now I'm sure it's not zain as he never shows his hand writing to me because he was insecure about that . I was convinced it was from Rehan. I imagined him trying to impress me, and my heart fluttered. I carefully placed the flowers in a vase and tucked the note into my favorite book, feeling cherished and loved.

As I left for my company, Techsaarah, I couldn't help but think about settling here permanently. With my wedding just a few weeks away, it made sense to make this place my home. Techsaarah, my cybersecurity firm, was already up and running smoothly, thanks to my hardworking employees.

However, I had another identity that not many knew about - I was also the CEO of SK Industries, a multinational interior design company. I was considering merging the two companies, but that decision would have to wait. For now, I had plans to reveal my true identity as CEO of SK Industries at my wedding reception. Kri had already taken the spotlight by winning the Best CEO prize, and I was ready to step into the limelight. No more hiding my past; it was time to embrace my true self.

I smirked thinking about everyone's reaction when they find out I'm also the CEO of SK Industries. As I arrived at Techsaarah's India branch, everyone greeted me with a mix of smiles and apprehension - a normal reaction, given I'd be staying here for a while. I like the respect my employees have for me; it motivates them to perform their best. My cold demeanor doesn't mean I disrespect them, but rather, I expect excellence.

As I reached my floor, Adri was already there, beaming with excitement. Since I'd told him about my upcoming marriage, he'd been begging to attend, not wanting to leave my side.

"Saarah, my girl, finally you're here!" he exclaimed, rushing to hug me.

"Sorry for the late greeting," I said with a chuckle.

Adri dramatically placed his hand on his heart, "Oh, the cold-hearted CEO apologizing to her PA? My heart can't take it!" I laughed, knowing Adri's antics were a welcome respite. He's more than just my PA; he's my brother figure and male best friend, always there for me.

We settled into my cabin, and I handed Adri my design plans to renovate the space according to my preferences. He dramatically bowed, and I laughed at his antics.

"So, how's your fiancé?" he asked, and my mood soared for a moment. I thought about the flowers and note, and a smile spread across my face.

"He made me feel disgust initially," I said, recalling my reaction to the mysterious bouquet,

"but then I remembered the flowers and the note... and I smiled." Adri looked at me curiously, and I continued,

"Yes, he's good," I said with a smile.

Adri's expression turned serious. "Okay, Saarah, there's an important thing for you to look at," he said, his tone hinting at something significant. I raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Actually, there's a company who wants SK Industries to design their Indian branch," he revealed. I nodded, interested.

"Then what's the problem? Appoint a meeting with our best designer," I instructed.

Adri smirked, "Oh, and who is the world's best designer, who is hiding under the name Scarlet Rose?" He looked at me knowingly, and I got it. He was referring to me.

"Oh," I said, trying to feign innocence, and sighed,

"Of course, I'm the best designer." Adri chuckled, and I couldn't help but smile.

"So, are you revealing yourself as the designer then?" Adri asked, and I shook my head.

"Nope, you'll take someone from our company and tell them to take notes. I'll design without meeting them," I said.

Adri raised an eyebrow. "Do you think I wouldn't have thought of that before?" he said with a hint of amusement.

"I already suggested that, but they were adamant about meeting you," he replied, and I sighed.

"Which company is it?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

"It's Malik Cooperation, and their CEO is Zain Malik," Adri said, his words sending a spark of recognition.

My expression turned stern, and I snapped, "Tell them we don't want to meet them, nor do we want to take on this project." Adri's eyes widened slightly.

"But, Saarah, it's a very profitable deal," he argued. I cut him off, my voice firm.

"Adri, say no to them, and you can leave." Adri nodded, understanding the finality in my tone, and exited the room.

later at evening :

I walked into my house in the evening, and the warm glow of the setting sun cast a cozy ambiance over the backyard, where everyone was enjoying tea time. I decided to head straight to my room to freshen up, looking forward to some solitude.

As I entered my room, I gasped in surprise. My eyes widened in shock, and I felt like they were going to pop out of their sockets. My entire room was filled with apples! I stood there, frozen, wondering if I had somehow walked into the wrong room. But as I glanced around, I saw my bed, my pictures, and all my familiar belongings. There was no doubt about it – this was my room.

The question echoing in my mind was, "Who on earth bought tons of apples and put them in my room?" I was baffled, and my curiosity was piqued. I had to find out who was behind this bizarre and apple-filled surprise.

I seethed with anger as she ordered me to design her wedding card. It's clear she can't stand my presence, and the fact that she's doing this is just another way to hurt me. She's trying to push me away, to make me give up on us, but I'm not going anywhere.

I know exactly what she's doing – trying to break me, to make me walk away from this sham of a marriage. But she's miscalculated. If she's stubborn, I'll match her step for step. I'll do everything in my power to break this marriage, no matter the cost.

Five years ago, she ran away from me, from us. But not this time. This time, I'll make sure she faces the consequences of her actions. I'll make her regret underestimating me. She thinks she can just discard me, but I've been waiting for my chance to strike back. And now, with this wedding, she's handed me the perfect opportunity.

I'll play along, design her precious wedding card, but I'll make sure she knows I'm not going down without a fight. This marriage will be a disaster, and she'll be the one to blame.

After she left, Ahan and Rida came to me. "Bhai, she's doing this on purpose," Rida said, her voice laced with concern.

Ahan chimed in, "But what have you done to get that much hatred from her?" I sighed, knowing the history between us was complicated.

"It's not the right time to argue about this," I said, not wanting to get into it.

Later, they both helped me create her wedding card, since I didn't have any meetings scheduled for the morning. Their assistance was a welcome distraction from the tension that lingered after our conversation.

[saarah's wedding invitation you guys are invited too .]

As I sat designing her wedding card, a mischievous idea suddenly popped into my mind. I called my secretary and instructed him to buy tons of apples. Ahan and Rida exchanged confused glances but wisely chose not to ask questions. Neither did I offer any explanation.

Once the apples arrived, Ahan and Rida helped the house staff arrange them in her room, spreading them out in a way that seemed almost playful. I watched with a hint of a smile, imagining her reaction. After the apples were in place, I wrote a note and placed it alongside the final design of her wedding card.

With my plan set in motion, I quickly left her mansion and headed to my company. As I drove away, I couldn't help but smirk at the thought of her reaction when she saw her apple-filled room. The anticipation was almost too delicious to bear.

As evening fell, Ahan called to inform me that she had just arrived, and I was already en route to her mansion. Uncle had graciously given me permission to move freely in his house, and he had always treated me like a son. I was taking advantage of their affection, but I justified it to myself as necessary to win back his daughter. My determination to reconnect with her drove me to use every opportunity available.

The moment her card was ready, my heart ached at the thought of seeing her name with someone else. I couldn't bear the idea of her being with anyone but me. She was meant to be mine, and I was determined to win her back, no matter the cost. In my mind, she was my queen, and I was willing to do anything to regain her forgiveness. The memory of her words last night still lingered, and I knew I had to make things right.

I stepped inside, and Ahan and Rida rushed to me, excitement in their voices.

"Bhai, she's upstairs in her room," Rida said, barely containing her grin.

Ahan chimed in, "It's gonna be so much fun." We exchanged knowing glances, and I couldn't help but chuckle along with them.

Rida's curiosity got the better of her, and she asked, "Anyway, what did you write in that note?"

I smiled mischievously and said, "Oh, it just says 'eat an apple every day, keeps the doctor away'."

Ahan and Rida burst into laughter, and I joined in, enjoying the joke, especially knowing her fiancé was a doctor.

Just as we were laughing, we heard a throat-clearing voice behind us. We turned to see Saarah glaring at us, the note and an apple in her hand alongside her wedding card.

"Bhai, you're gone," Ahan and Rida chimed in, backing away.

Saarah approached us, her eyes demanding an explanation.

"Mind explaining what this is?" she asked, holding up the note and apple.

Ahan, seemingly betraying my trust, said, "Aapi, Zain Bhai ka idea."

Rida piled on, "Yes, Aapi, he told us to do it with him, he even threatened us." I shot them a look of betrayal, my eyes widening in shock. What the...?

I glared at Rida, who flashed a mischievous smile and muttered "sorry" before making a hasty retreat alongside Ahan. Saarah's gaze turned to me, her eyes flashing with a mix of amusement and annoyance.

"You are gone," I could almost hear Ahan and Rida's teasing echoing in the background.

Saarah's expression turned stern, and she demanded, "Now, as you're the only one who could've pulled off this stunt, mind explaining what this means?" She held up the note with the apple, her voice dripping with a dangerous tone. I tried to speak, but my words caught in my throat, and I stammered out a feeble

"Sa-a-rah...vo...it's ac-tually..." I couldn't believe I was stammering like this. Why was I losing my cool?

I couldn't help but feel like a scared kitten in front of her, my subconscious taunting me with the image of a timid creature.

"Aww, so Mr. Zain Malik, you've become a scared kitten in front of your ex," it mocked. I shot back, trying to regain my confidence,

"I'm not a scared kitten." I stood taller, meeting her gaze.

"Don't you know how to read?" I asked, attempting to sound nonchalant.

"Of course, I do," she retorted, her voice rising.

"But why the heck did you fill my room with tons of apples? And what does this 'eat an apple every day keeps the doctor away' nonsense mean?" She was furious, and I couldn't help but smile knowingly.

"Don't you know the profession of your fiancé?" I asked, my voice low and teasing. Realization dawned on her, and her glare intensified. I took a step closer, my voice dropping to a whisper.

"I want you to stay away from that guy. And I'll make sure to do just that." With a smirk, I turned and left, feeling a sense of satisfaction.

The next day, I was engrossed in work at my office when Ahan called, informing me that they were heading out for shopping and Rehan was accompanying Saarah, set to pick her up. A surge of irritation coursed through me. Why was this guy so persistent? Didn't he have other things to attend to? Didn't he have surgeries or patients to see? I needed to take action.

As I pondered, an idea struck me. I decided to call the MD of Rehan's hospital, a friend of mine. He answered on the third ring, and I inquired about Rehan's schedule, my mind racing with possibilities.

He told me Rehan didn't have any surgeries scheduled for the day. I asked him to call Rehan and summon him to the hospital for an emergency.

"But Zain, there's no real emergency," he said.

then hit your head at wall and told him to treat you : I said with anger

I insisted, and he reluctantly agreed to fabricate one.

"Fine, I'll arrange a patient for him," he said. I asked him to keep Rehan occupied until evening, and he agreed without further question. then asked something ,I hesitated for a moment before responding to my friend's question.

"Any problem with Rehan?" he asked, curiosity evident in his voice. I decided to brush it off for now.

"Bro, I'll tell you later. First, I have to win someone who's already mine," I said, my focus fixed on reclaiming Saarah's heart.

"Just make sure he doesn't come out of the hospital till evening," I added, trusting my friend to handle the situation. He agreed without further argument, and I felt a sense of relief. Now, I just had to focus on winning her back.

I stepped out of my office, knowing I had a long night ahead of me. because I had to do the work at night . The thought of winning Saarah back drove me forward, and I was willing to sacrifice sleep for it. I'd been surviving on just 3-4 hours of sleep for the past 5 years, and it had become my norm. The prospect of a sleepless night didn't faze me, as long as it meant I could make progress with her.

I stepped into the mansion, my heart racing with anticipation, only to be met with an awkward silence in the lawn. Everyone seemed to be waiting for Rehan, but my eyes locked onto Saarah, her gaze piercing through me like a dagger.

"What are you doing here?" she spat, her tone venomous, making my stomach twist with anxiety.

I forced a casual smile, trying to play it cool. "It's my uncle's house; I can come here anytime," I said, attempting to diffuse the tension. My uncle's nod of agreement was a lifeline, and I breathed a sigh of relief as I greeted them.

But just as things seemed to settle, Ahan dropped a bombshell that sent shockwaves through the room

"Aapi, why are you still acting like you don't know Zain Bhai before?" Saarah's eyes widened in horror, and the room turned into a spectacle, with everyone gawking at us like we were a soap opera unfolding before their eyes.

Ahan continued, his words dripping with mischief, "You guys are college friends, right?" The silence that followed was deafening, with Saarah's glare burning a hole through my soul. My heart sank as she finally spoke, her voice laced with ice

"Yeah, we were friends before, but not anymore."

The room erupted into gasps and whispers, and I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. My aunt's curious gaze turned to us,

"Beta, how did you two become friends, and what happened?" Saarah's explanation of our college days felt like a distant echo, as my mind reeled with panic.

My uncle's follow-up question, "What happened that you're not even recognizing him?" felt like the final nail in my coffin. I watched in despair as Saarah's words sealed my fate, and I knew I was on the verge of losing my last chance to win her back. The room seemed to spin around me, and I felt like I was drowning in a sea of uncertainty.

he broke : she was saying ,......

I felt my world crumbling as Saarah began to reveal the truth, but she abruptly stopped, and I panicked. In my mind, I pleaded with her,

"No, Saarah, please don't do this, not right now. Please let me win you back, and I'll tell everyone myself. I can face everyone's hatred, and I promise to seek forgiveness from all of them, but just not now.": I muttered under my breath

But instead of exposing me, Saarah said, "He broke my favorite car and didn't even pay for it. How arrogant. He is a jerk." My eyes widened in shock, and everyone looked at us, struggling to contain their laughter. Then, suddenly, they burst into laughter.

I stared at Saarah, confused, wondering why she had lied. She could have told the truth and pushed me away forever, but she didn't. A spark of hope ignited within me. Maybe, just maybe, she wanted to give me a chance. The realization hit me like a wave, and I felt an overwhelming sense of joy. Oh, my god, I'm so happy.

Uncle chuckled, "Oh, Zain, don't you know the love Saarah has for her car?" He teased,

"Don't worry, he'll correct his mistake now. Forgive him." Saarah nodded, and the conversation flowed.

As everyone prepared to leave, Rida said, "Okay guys, let's go. Rehan Bhai is taking too much time."

Ahan jokingly offered to take Saarah's car, and she threatened him, "If my car gets even a small scratch, I'll rip you apart." Ahan dramatically promised to take care of it with his life.

Once everyone left, the silence between us was palpable. Saarah broke it, her voice soft,

"You didn't go. Now there's no one." I stood firm,

"I'll go with you." But she corrected me, emphasizing the word,

"I'm going with Rehan, my fiancé." The word "fiancé" stung, and I clenched my jaw, trying to contain my frustration.

I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "He's not coming, I think." Saarah's confident response was immediate.

"Oh, he is. He won't ditch me." I smirked, challenging her.

"Oh, then call him."

Saarah pulled out her phone and dialed Rehan's number, but he didn't pick up. Her expression changed from confidence to concern as she read his message. The silence between us was tense, and I could sense her unease growing.

I peeked over at Saarah's phone and read the text: "I can't come."

A sly grin spread across my face as I teased her,

"Oh, someone got ditched." She shot back,

"It's you, right?" I chuckled and replied,

"What? No. What do you think of me? I'm a businessman, not a doctor who'll be held up."

Saarah sighed, looking frazzled. "Now how can I go?" she muttered, clearly realizing she didn't have a ride. I offered,

"You can come with me," but she flat-out refused,

 "Never."

I sat in my car, trying to coax her,

"Saarah, come on. You'll be late." But she didn't budge.

"Are you coming?" I asked, and she reiterated,

"With you? No, never." I smirked,

"Are you sitting inside, or do I make you sit inside?" She looked up at me, a hint of defiance in her eyes,

"You can't do that." I raised an eyebrow,

"Try me." She gulped, and I counted down,

"One... two... three..."

As I reached three, I got out of the car and strode towards her. Her eyes widened in surprise as I scooped her up and tossed her over my shoulder.

"Zain, what the...?" she trailed off, her voice muffled against my back.
