Italy, Two Days Later...
Rivan's Multinational Company:
Rivan was in his office, leaning over the large conference room table, his eyes fixed on the projector screen. The meeting, which had been cancelled due to Anya, was happening again today. A huge deal was about to go through, and Rivan's entire focus was on it. Rivan wanted this deal at any cost.
Aditya, Karan, Rishabh, and Aarav were also present.
Mid-meeting, Rivan's PA, Ayush, approached him with a tablet. Ayush whispered something to Rivan. Without blinking, Rivan shifted his gaze from the screen and looked at Ayush for a moment. An evil smile spread across his face. Rivan looked at the tablet screen that Ayush was holding, and his smile deepened.
Aditya, Karan, Aarav, and Rishabh looked at Rivan. They understood from Rivan's smile that something big was about to happen.
Rivan shifted his gaze from the tablet screen and continued his discussion. A lot was running through Rivan's mind.
Around the table, some smaller mafia bosses were also seated, their eyes on the deal. Rivan was concluding his points, but some of the smaller mafia members weren't happy with his terms.
One of the men stood up from his chair and stated clearly, "I don't accept this deal." Saying this, he started to leave.
Before he could take another step, Rivan swiftly pulled a pistol from the back of his pants and, without a moment's delay, fired directly at the man. The sound of gunfire echoed through the room. The man fell to the ground, his body riddled with bullets.
A complete silence fell over the room. The remaining smaller mafia members trembled with fear, terror clearly visible in their eyes.
Rivan placed his pistol on the table, and his gaze moved from one scared face to another. He said in a cold voice, "Does anyone else have a problem? I'll solve their problem right now."
Everyone said fearfully, "Leader, we accept all your terms." Hearing this, a mischievous smile appeared on Rivan's face. Rivan threw some papers at them. They quickly began to sign the papers.
College:
Anya was sitting in her college library, along with Siya and Parul. A pile of books lay on her table, and she was making her notes. Her exams were approaching, so she was focusing on her studies. She was continuously receiving calls from an unknown number, but her phone was silent, so she didn't notice. She hadn't checked her phone even once; she was just busy making her notes.
Palace:
Meanwhile, there was no one in the Palace except the bodyguards. Shruti, Riya, and Mayuri had gone shopping, and Danish and Harish were also in their other offices.
A faint sound was heard at the study room door, and a dark shadow entered. Dressed in black from head to toe, this stranger walked straight into Rivan's Personal Study Room. His eyes scanned every corner of the room. He thoroughly checked the bookshelves, all the files, and all the drawers. Then his gaze fell on Rivan's large table. Without wasting a single moment, he abruptly opened a drawer. He thoroughly checked the drawer and pulled out a pen drive. An evil smile appeared on his face as he looked at the pen drive. He took out his phone from his pocket and started typing something on it. After a while, he put his phone back in his pocket. He scanned the entire study room once more. He quickly put everything back as it was before, then immediately exited the study room.
College: Anya's Anger and the Stranger
At college, Anya had finished making her notes. She planned to make the rest of her notes comfortably at home. She was walking out of the library with Siya and Parul. Ten bodyguards were walking behind them,
surrounding Anya, Parul, and Siya. Anya was now feeling very irritated by these bodyguards.
There was someone else, sitting in black clothes, wearing a mask and goggles, continuously watching Anya secretly. He too was very irritated by the bodyguards.
Wherever Anya went, the bodyguards followed. Anya started to get very angry. She took a deep breath and then turned around to look at the bodyguards who were now standing with their heads bowed.
Then she looked at Siya and Parul and started whispering something to them—how to get rid of the bodyguards?
Siya and Parul flatly refused. They were not going to support Anya in this plan. They both knew that the bodyguards were for Anya's safety, and if Rivan found out that they had supported Anya's foolishness, Rivan wouldn't spare them. Rivan wouldn't hesitate to take anyone's life for Anya.
Anya, angry with both of them, walked towards the canteen. Siya and Parul were still standing in their places.
The stranger in the mask got up from his spot and also started following Anya.
Anya entered the canteen and sat on a chair. She was very angry with Siya and Parul. She couldn't understand why they had refused to support her.
The bodyguards were standing over Anya's head, and Anya started to get very angry with them too.
The stranger in the mask was sitting at the table next to Anya and watching her. He softly whispered, "Silly Inayat."
Anya stood up from her chair and looked at the bodyguards. The bodyguards were standing with their heads bowed.
A plan came to her mind, and a mischievous smile was on her face. Anya told a bodyguard, "Some of my books are left in the library, go get them." That bodyguard nodded and, obeying Anya, went towards the library. In this way, Anya gave some task or the other to all the other bodyguards and then quickly ran away from the canteen.
The man wearing the mask noticed all of Anya's actions and said to himself, "Like father, like daughter. She has a sharp mind like her dad." Then he also quickly followed Anya.
Anya was walking through the corridor when the masked man pulled Anya into an empty classroom.
Anya was startled. She was about to scream when he put his hand over her mouth.
The man took off his goggles and looked at Anya. Anya was also looking into his eyes; his face was very close to Anya's. He watched Anya for a while, then brought his lips close to Anya's ear and said, "I just put something in your bag. Check it when you go to the Palace; a small truth will be revealed to you."
Anya listened carefully to his words, but she couldn't understand what truth he was talking about.
He stood close to Anya for a while like that, then moved away from her and immediately left the classroom.
Anya was still standing like a statue.
Siya, Parul, and the bodyguards were searching for Anya all over the college. Beads of sweat were dripping from the bodyguards' foreheads out of fear. They knew that if anything happened to Anya, Rivan would bury them alive. They had been searching for Anya for half an hour now.
Siya and Parul also started to get scared.
Anya was still in the same empty classroom. She was sitting on the bench and repeatedly looking at her bag, wondering what that man could have put inside it.
She looked at her bag for a while, then quickly opened the bag's chain and started checking her bag.
Just then, the classroom door opened. Siya and Parul were standing at the door, and the bodyguards were also standing behind them. Anya was startled and looked at them.
Siya-Parul entered the classroom and said, "You're sitting here? We've been searching for you all over the college."
Anya closed her bag's chain and stood up from the bench. Without speaking to either of them, she walked out of the classroom. The bodyguards also followed her.
Siya and Parul looked at each other, and then they also followed her.
Siya said, "Stop Anya! Are you still angry? Won't you talk?"
Anya didn't reply. The masked man and his words were revolving in her mind. She quickly went towards the parking area where her car was parked. She immediately got into the car and told the driver to go to the Palace.
The driver also immediately started the car.
The bodyguards' cars also followed Anya's car. Siya and Parul watched the cars leave.
In a short while, Anya's car stopped in the Palace's parking area. Anya quickly got out of the car and ran into the Palace. At this time, there was no one in the hall. Anya ran towards the elevator. She pressed the button for Rivan's floor. In a short while, she was on Rivan's floor. She ran towards her bedroom. She quickly went inside and closed the door. She sat on the bed, panting. She calmed herself down, then quickly opened her bag's chain. She put her hand inside the bag and pulled out a small box. She looked at the box for a while, then opened it. She said to herself, "What is this?"
Just then, a message arrived on her phone. Reading that message, she immediately stood up from the bed and went towards the closet room. In the closet room, she was doing all the checking, searching for something. Just then, her gaze went towards a glass almirah. She went towards it. She opened the almirah; there was a box inside. As soon as she opened that box, her eyes widened in surprise. She covered her mouth with her hand.
