Early morning sun shines down on a fancy looking red sports car as it speeds down the road. At the driver seat is one albino wolf, Albus. In the back seat is Cream, with cheese beside her, and Click, with blind folds on. All three of them are also wearing swim suits.
Albus drives under a few large train tracks, left over from when Eggman took over the region a little over a month ago. But now they've been repurposed for travel for the mobians around the country.
"Albus, why are we wearing blindfolds?" Click asks in the back.
Albus thinks for a few moments. "You know, I really don't know why. But just think of it as a surprise."
Cream claps as she laughs. "Oh, I hope it's a good surprise!" Cheese lets out a happy cry.
Click then pokes Cream in the cheek. "Hehe, it feels weird not being able to see."
Cream laughs as she pokes Click as well. Until the car goes over a large bump, nearly causing the two to slam heads together.
"Ugh, Albus, are you wearing a blind fold?" Click asks.
Albus laughs as he glances back. "No, but with my poor eyesight I might as well be." He looks forward and narrows his eyes a little. "What is that, a woodpecker?"
The car suddenly drives off road, causing Click and Cream to panic.
A few hours pass and Albus parks the car, with a large amount of damage to the front, as sticks and leaves poke out from the grill. Cream and Click fall out from the back of the car, as Cheese floats out above them.
"Hmph, I can't believe you have a drivers license." Click complains as she takes off her blind fold.
Albus looks a little confused. "...Drivers license... you need one of those?"
Click tilts her head in confusion. "You don't have one?"
The two stare at each other for a few moments, until Cream interrupts by letting out a happy gasp.
"Woah! We're in Apotos!" Cream happily cheers as she runs towards the ocean.
Click and Albus quickly follow after her and a few minutes later they run onto the beach. Cream lets out an amazed gasp as she looks out to the large blue waters, seeing several large boats in the distance.
"It's so pretty." Cream admires.
Click turns to Albus. "So why are we here? It's not exactly a close drive."
"Well..."
Suddenly a voice calls out to them. "Hey you guys!"
The three look back to see Tails running towards them while waving. Amy is behind him dragging Sonic, who's on the ground clawing at it.
"No, I don't want to be near the water!" Sonic shouts.
"Oh, stop being a baby Sonic." Amy calls out. "This is a day to have fun!"
And behind them is Knuckles the Echidna. He's carrying a mountain of stuff.
"Wow, everyone's here!" Cream runs up to them with a smile, with Cheese floating right behind her.
Click laughs as she runs after her. Albus walks up to Knuckles as he sets down all his stuff.
"Knuckles, long time to see." Albus greets.
Knuckles smiles as he holds a fist out. "Albus, it's been years!"
The two fist bump as Albus starts helping him get everything set up. Chairs, blankets, towels, umbrellas, a cooler, a grill, a net with a volley ball.
Click runs over with a happy look. "Knuckles!"
Knuckles smiles as he pats her on the head. "Click, still hanging around this dense fool?"
"Hey!" Albus shouts as he stabs an umbrella into the ground.
Click nods with a smile. "Yup, still inseparable!"
Knuckles sets up some of the chairs under the umbrellas. "Well, it's good to see you two still running together. You both make one heck of a team."
Click pumps a fist. "Yeah, we kicked Eggman's butt together!"
"I heard, he did a lot of damage, didn't he?" Knuckles glances between the two.
Albus nods as he rolls out a blanket onto the sand. "Yeah, took us an entire month just to repair everything. But at least we did make the best of it, we now have a fast transport system around the region!"
Click then tilts her head as she puts a finger on her chin. "If you're here Knuckles, who's watching the Emerald?"
"Oh, I got a friend of mine to watch it."
"...Is it that bat girl Sonic says you hang out with?" Albus asks.
Knuckles frowns as he crosses his arms. "She's nothing but a thief! ...But yes... She's watching it, and I know she won't be able to steal it. I made sure of that."
"What did you do?" Click asks.
"That's a trade secret."
"All right then, keep your secrets."
"Albus!" Cream shouts from the side. "Come on, lets go swimming!"
"Alright, alright!" Albus turns to Knuckles and Click. "Duty calls!" He runs off towards Cream and runs into the ocean with her.
Albus helps Cream swim in some of the deeper waters as they play. On the beach Click and Sonic are building large sand castles at incredible speeds. Amy is setting up the volleyball net as Knuckles helps her.
Once that's up, Amy calls everyone over and they start playing. Amy, Knuckles and Click on one side. With Albus, Cream and Sonic on the other.
Though the winner was clear from the start, with Albus' team winning nine out of the ten games they played. Then Knuckles starts to grill some chili dogs as Amy and Cream play in the water.
Knuckles hands Albus a chili dog and the wolf goes to eat it, but it suddenly disappears from his grip. He's then handed another and he tries to eat it again, but it disappears once again.
Albus then sniffs the air and glares to the side, where Sonic is, wiping some chili from his fingers. Sonic nervously chuckles, but then panics and runs away as Albus chases after him.
While all this was going on, Tails was sitting on a chair with a workbench next to him. he's seems to be working on a pair of shoes, he fiddles with it for a few seconds, before shouting out.
"Albus, come here!"
Albus skids to a stop in front of Tails, as Albus own tail wags. "Yes?"
Tails hands Albus a pair of shoes, the shoes are white with black at the toes of the shoe and the outer sole. The bottom of the shoe is metal with little holes.
Albus looks a little confused for a second. "Umm... shoes?"
Tails nods with excitement. "I made you a pair of shoes similar to Sonic and Shadow-"
"Who's Shadow?"
"-It'll allow you to rail grind, and when running it'll fire little bursts of air to propel you forward. So you should be able to run much faster now."
"OH!" Albus looks down at them in excitement. "That sounds kind of fun actually, I'll definitely start wearing these."
Suddenly Click appears beside Tails, and grabs him, lifting the fox above her head. "Come on, Tails, it's time for fun, not boring mechanical stuff."
"Wait wait wait!" Tails shouts as she runs off towards the ocean while carrying Tails.
Albus sweat drops as she sets the shoes down on the chair, and runs off after Click.
Not long after Amy and Cream are facing off against Click and Tails in a volleyball match. Knuckles and Sonic are fishing off at a pier in the distance. Albus is sleeping in a chair while Cheese sits on his chest, reading a magazine.
Amy spikes the ball and Click tries to hit it, but she hits it at a awkward angel and it goes flying off behind her. "Oop, I'll get it!"
Click jogs after it and finds the a large panda holding it whole he rubs the back of his head. His friends, a Jackal, a Wolf and a Vulture all look at the ball with a frown.
Click runs up to them with a smile. "Oh, sorry about that!" She skids to a stop right beside the panda. "May I have my ball back?"
The panda glares down at her. "You're dumb ball hit me in the head!"
"Oh, sorry about that!" Click nervously chuckles as she rubs the back of her head. "But, may I have it back."
The Panda sneers. "I dunno, someone like you shouldn't have a ball if you're just gonna hit someone with it."
Click slightly frowns. "It was an accident, I said I was sorry!"
The Panda throws the ball up and down. "Well, I say your sorry isn't enough!" he brings his hand back, and goes to throw the ball at Click, but a white furred hand grabs his wrist.
"She said she was sorry." Albus voice calls out.
The Panda freezes up as a pressure falls onto him. he looks back and sees Albus glaring at him.
"Are we gonna have a problem?" Albus glances between the Panda and his friends, who seem ready for a fight. "I really don't think you want this."
The Panda glares at Albus, before dropping the ball to the ground and ripping his arm out of Albus' grasps. The panda sneers before stomping away, his friends following him.
Click smiles as she grabs the ball. "Thanks, Albus, they we're kind of mean!"
Albus smiles and gives Click a thumbs up. "Eh, I beat you could take 'em, if they tried something."
Click gives a thumbs up as she smiles. before running back to her game. Albus stretches his arms, before walking back to his seat and immediately falling right back asleep.
A little while later, everyone's fishing at the pier. With Knuckles pulling in a massive tuna fish and showing it off. Cream pulls in a small fish, but is still happy she caught something.
Amy pulls in a rather large salmon, and Click pulls in a barracuda that tries to bite her. Albus is trying to reel in a fish, and Sonic looks annoyed that he can't seem to catch anything.
"Come on, come on!" Albus shouts as he pulls against the line. "Almost got it!"
Albus is then suddenly pulled off the pier and into the waters below. Everyone blinks in shock a few times.
Deep under water Albus is being pulled along by a Chopper badnik, before he lots go with an annoyed look. He shakes his fist as the badnik takes off into the distance, still hooked by the pole.
Albus then notices a green shine below him and he looks down, before swimming down towards it. When he gets close his eyes widen as he sees a Green Chaos emerald sitting on an altar. He quickly swims down father and grabs it, as his lungs start to slightly burn.
He then takes off for the surface and quickly breaches it and takes several deep breaths as everyone calls out to him.
"Are you okay?" Click asks.
"Yeah!" Albus then laughs as he holds up the Emerald. "Look what I found."
"A Chaos Emerald?!" Everyone shouts.
"Weird, isn't it?"
Suddenly a seagull flies by and snatches the Emerald away from Albus. Everyone's jaw drops to the floor as they watch the seagull fly off into the distance with the shiny emerald.
"Oi!" Albus shouts loudly. "Give that back! IT'S MINE!"
Albus continues to shout, nearly fall below the waters again.
A while later, everyone's sitting on their towels as the sun sets in the distance. They all watch it with smiles on their faces, Cream leans against Albus, looking a little tired. Cheese is asleep on her head.
Then a few minutes later everyone's all packed up and they start heading their separate ways. Albus is carrying both Cream and Click, as they both look rather tired. He yells bye to everyone before heading to the car.
He opens up the back and sets them inside, buckling them up. With both Click and Cream falling asleep while leaning on each other. Albus climbs into the front, and turns on the car.
He looks out the back window, as he puts the car into gear. He presses on the gas and the car lurches forward, making him panic.
A few hours later, it's nearly dark outside as Albus enters his large house. He pushes the door shut behind him with his butt as he carries both Cream and Click inside. He heads up a set of stairs and nudges a door open, and sets Cream on a bed, tucking her gently in. Before heading into another room, and tucking Click into bed.
He then heads back down stairs, passing dozens of photos of him and Click over the years. Several of them are of a much young him and the rest of his friends.
Albus then heads into the living room and sits down on the couch. He grabs a pair of glasses and sets them on his nose as he grabs a newspaper and opens it up. He starts to flip through it.
"Oh, the sports section."
Suddenly a loud banging echoes from the door, as Miss Cherry's voice is heard yelling from the other side.
"Albus End, what did you do to my car!"
Albus looks towards the door for a few moments. "...Crap."
