It's been two weeks since Nathan and I's encounter in my room. He hasn't said one word to me, not one.
He's also been even more of a jerk to everyone lately. Half the time he doesn't even come to school.
He and Isaac even got into a fight. As in a fist fight. No one knows why they fought though.
Speaking of Isaac, he asked me to go to the mall after school today and go to dinner after.
Isaac sits with Lauren, Reagan and I every day at lunch and to be honest, it's comforting. Carson- Lauren's new boyfriend also known as the previous player sits with us as well.
"Kali?"
"Kali?"
I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Isaac, Reagan, Lauren and Carson looking at me.
"What?" I asked. They all laughed. "Are you gonna eat your food or just starve yourself?" Lauren laughed.
I didn't find it funny though. I piled up a bunch of mashed potatoes on my spoon and fling it towards her. Sadly I missed, and ended up hitting someone I would never want to hit.
Nathan.
He looked up from his tray and glared at me. He wiped the mashed potatoes off his face and stormed out of the lunch room.
Whoops.
We all started laughing. Especially Isaac. "Hey, I got a question for you." I said looking at him. "Yeah?" He asked.
"How come you and Nathan got into a fight?" I asked. He tensed up a little bit. "Uh, just something stupid." He said uneasily.
I nodded and continued to eat my lunch. The bell rung signaling is it was time for 5th period. Isaac dumped our trays and walked with me to my locker.
We both had Biology together so he walked with me there too. He took ahold of my hand and lead me to the classroom. Once we walked in I saw Nathan in his regular spot. He looked over at us and his eyes dropped down to Isaac and I's hands.
Nathan closed his notebook and stormed out of the room. "What was that all about?" I asked Isaac. He just shrugged. He let go of our hands and walked to his spot. As I did the same.
The hour went by slow and painful. All we did was go over our notes for the upcoming test.
I was very relieved once the bell rang. I made my way over to English and walked through the door.
I saw Lauren was sitting next to Carson and being all lovey-dovey. Reagan saw me walk in and signaled me to come sit by her.
"Hey Reagan." I smiled. "Hi." She smiled back. "I guess Lauren and Carson are getting..closer." I laughed. "Yeah, and it's disgusting." Reagan cringes.
Our teacher gives us our packets for our class project and everyone gets to work.
The rest of the day flew by amazingly quickly. I grabbed my stuff from my locker and started walking towards Isaac's car.
He brought me to school today and we were now gonna go to the mall and after that go out to eat.
"You ready?" Isaac asked me once we were both in got into his car. "Yup." I smiled.
"Great!" Isaac smiled. He pulled out of the schools parking lot and drove off to the mall.
It took us about 35 minutes to get there. Isaac got out of the car first and helped me out. He grabbed my hand and we both walked in together.
We walked around for about an hour. Then we started getting hungry. "Where do you want to go to eat?" Isaac asked.
"Taco Bell." I said proudly. "I was thinking something more romantic but Taco Bell is good I guess." He chuckled.
I smiled. We walked over to the food court and I took a seat. Isaac went over to get us our food.
About 5 minutes later Isaac came back and handed me my food. "Thanks Isaac." I smiled. "You're welcome dear." He chuckled.

"Thanks for the ride and dinner Isaac, that was really nice of you." I smiled. "Anytime." He smiled.
I looked to the side and saw Nathan watching us from his window. That's not creepy at all.
Isaac obviously noticed. He put his hand on my waist and pulled me a little closer.
His lips brushed against my cheek. "May I?" He didn't wait for an answer he leaned right in.
His lips were soft- not as soft as Nathan's though. Wait what?
I pulled away after a few seconds. "I- I should probably go inside." I said.
He nodded his head. "Bye Kali." He smiled, kissed my cheek and walked back to his car.
He pulled out but ended up only pulling into Nathan's driveway. I saw two other cars there. Cody and Marco's possibly. Isaac, Cody and Marco are Nathan's crew.
I shook my head and made my way inside.
"I'm home!" I yelled. I heard footsteps running towards me. "Hey Chris." I smiled.
"How was smooching with your boyfriend?" He slurred. I rolled my eyes.
"He's not my boyfriend, he's just a friend." I said. "Sure looks like he's just a friend." Blake laughed while running around the corner.
"Yeah yeah, how about both of you shut it." I scoffed. I walked over to the kitchen and saw my parents sitting at the table talking.
"Hey guys." I smiled. "Hi dear, how was school?" My mom asked. "Good." I smiled. "How did your date go as well?" My mom said raising her eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "It wasn't a date, it was just two friends hanging out." I defended.
They both laughed. "Better go study for your upcoming test in biology." My dad smiled. "Will do daddio." I smiled.
I walked upstairs to my room to go take a shower. I set my stuff down and opened up my window.
I grabbed some clean pajamas and walked into the bathroom.
Once I was done I wrapped a towel around my hair and dried off my body.
I changed into a pair of black shorts and a pink sports bra.
I dried my hair and threw it up in a messy bun. I brushed my teeth and walked back into my room.
I sat down on my bed and started on my homework.
"So you and Kali Daniels eh?" I heard someone say. "Ha yeah right. She's hot and all but she's a loser." I know that voice.
That was Isaac.
"Then why are you with her?" Someone asked. It sounds like Marco, but I'm it sure.
"Come on Marco, get real. She's so easy. Just a few more days of pretending to care for her and I'll be in her jeans in no time." Isaac laughed.
Oh. That's why he's been acting so nice to me. Of course, everything makes sense.
"Bro you better not let Nathan find out your plan." Another voice said.
"Why would Nathan care?" Isaac asked. "Because he called dibs." Someone said.
"Cody, we're not in the second grade anymore, and plus he'd do the same thing, why would it matter?" Isaac asked.
"Nathan hasn't shut up about her, he already beat the shit out of you once for talking to her, imagine what he's gonna do when he finds out you fucked her." Cody said.
I'm the reason Nathan beat Isaac up?
"Nathan doesn't care about her, he only wants to get in her pants." Isaac said.
"What are you guys talking about?" Nathan said. He probably just walked into the room.
"How Mr. Henderson is giving us a dumb ass test that no one is gonna pass." Isaac said.
"Why the hell are you idiots talking about school?" Nathan said.
"Eh it doesn't matter." Isaac said. "Whatever, hand me my pack." Nathan said. Pack?
I heard a lighter fire up. Oh, a cigarette pack.
I could see his hand go outside of the window. All the smoke drifted away, some even went into my room. Great.
I've had enough of this. I walk over to my window and close it without Nathan noticing.
In the matter of about 5 minutes I've found out a shit load of stuff.
Isaac is using me for sex. Such a surprise there.
They all think I'm a loser, but at least I'm "hot".
Nathan beat the shit out of Isaac because he talked to me.
More importantly, Nathan hasn't stopped talking about me and also called dibs on me. Whatever that means.
When did my life become so complicated? Oh right, when Mr. Dumbass Henderson decided to partner me up with Mr. Bad Boy Player.
After about 45 minutes of doing homework I finally finished.
I closed my notebooks and threw them off of my bed. I looked at the clock. It was already 11:00.
Everyone was probably sleeping. Drake and Samantha normally go to bed around 10:30 and the boys have to go to bed at 9:00.
I went downstairs as quietly as I could and went into the freezer to get some ice cream.
I put some in a bowl and started walking back to my room.
I heard a loud pound on the door. It scared me shitless. I threw my ice cream bowl in the air and it smashed on the ground, and there went my happiness.
I shook my head and went to open the door.
Surprisingly it was Nathan. Standing there. Staring at me.

I hope every enjoyed this chapter. I'm gonna take some time to update next. I really wanna think about what I'm doing in this book and go over things so I don't end up winging things.
It won't be awhile maybe half week-week 😂 I don't really know, tomorrow I'm getting braces and won't be doing anything all day so I might work on it then. So yeah! Hope you enjoyed.
