Naruto's POV
For the past two months Sasuke and I have been really busy. It's been a mixture of studies and wedding planning and arranging for me, and for Sasuke it was mostly watching little Niko and also wedding planning. We bought three suits, the third one being a cute miniature one for our son. I wanted to help buy the rings and the cake, but Sasuke wouldn't let me so now the raven is practically broke. Now he can't buy me anymore ramen, just kidding I don't use him for his money that would make me a jerk. Sasuke and I were home sitting at the kitchen table making invitations for the people we wanted to invite, it was pretty sad though. Of course everyone on my side befriended and forgave the Uchiha Survivor, but he didn't have anyone specifically he wanted to invite.
"Sasuke..." I whispered his name, letting out a small sigh. "Are you sure there is no one you want to invite that I want to?" I asked.
"I've been a criminal for most of my life time, my only friend was you Naruto. I didn't meet anyone along the way I would want to come to our wedding, everybody hated me and found me as a rival. It's okay, the only three people I met are crazy. Karin definitely isn't coming, and Suigetsu and Jūgo are probably doing who knows what. Everybody who attends is going to be from this very village." Sasuke stated.
I let out a sigh, nodding. "Yeah, alright." I rubbed my chin thoughtfully. "Where should we have the wedding?" I asked.
"It's obvious, Naruto." Sasuke started with a smile across his face. "If you don't know the place we are having our wedding, something must be seriously wrong with you." The raven said with a chuckle.
I wasn't really sure what he meant, scratching the back of my head cluelessly. "What are you talking about?"
"I know you know, you just aren't using your brain." Sasuke continued to tease me rather than just telling me. "We've been there two times." He hinted.
"Two times?" I repeated, trying to figure out the place he was thinking of. "Do you know, Niko?" I asked my four month old baby who sat upon my lap. Obviously he didn't, I was trying to make a conversation and he would listen to me more than Sasuke. He probably didn't understand and obviously he couldn't talk yet so I wouldn't get an answer back.
"Of course he knows, and so do you Naruto. Think harder, that place we've been twice, 'what the hell are you, why do you keep involving yourself with me? Because we're friends?' Do you remember?" Sasuke continued trying to give me several hints. I looked over him, watching as he placed his right hand upon his prosthetic. "Chidori...Rasengan..." he mumbled.
My eyes widened, flashbacks of the place he was talking about finally rushing throughout my head. "The...Final Valley? You really want to get married there?" I asked.
"Yes, we had some good and bad memories there. So, let's build off of those memories and make some new ones." The raven said with a smile. "Even if you don't agree, too late. I already wrote the place on the invitations I wrote out."
"No, I agree with you. The Final Valley...I can't believe I didn't think of it. I love the idea of getting married there." I told him honestly, a smile across my face.
"Good, I'm glad." Sasuke said, picking up the invitations already sealed in envelopes. "Let's see, we got Iruka, Kakashi, Sakura, and Tsunade. Did you want to invite everyone on the other teams we grew up with?"
A frown formed across my face, most of the people I wanted to attend the wedding were dead. Mom and dad, Pervy Sage, Neji, and Itachi. I know Sasuke was happy for this event, but I just knew he was dying inside because he wanted his older brother to attend.
"Yeah, it will be fun to have everybody in our graduating class there! I'm sure all of them are really proud for us!" I snapped my finger, thinking of someone important to me I wanted to invite even though he didn't live in the Hidden Leaf Village. "Gaara definitely!!"
"Alright, I'll send my hawk to deliver his invitation to the sand. Then we have a lot more of invitations to make and then we can start handing them out."
"Yeah!" I worked on the fourth other invitations, filling out the time and place of when the wedding will be. I looked over at Sasuke, watching as he bit his thumb and placed it on the kitchen table. I handed the invitation to Sasuke who gave it to the hawk he summoned, now looking down at Niko who was clapping. He seemed so amazed by such a jutsu, giggling softly.
"To the Sand." Sasuke told the hawk before it flew out of my house by using the open window.
"Alright, let's deliver these invitations!" I said, lifting Niko up and holding him close to my chest. I went to the bedroom just to grab the carrier we would sometimes use so things were easier, strapping it onto myself and putting Niko in it. Walking back to the kitchen I picked up the envelopes for the seven people we were inviting, and Sasuke and I left the house to give them out.
We went around the village the entire village to deliver invitations out to everyone we invited. It took a long time to deliver each one, we would just put the envelope in the mail boxes since it was easier and we didn't have to explain anything. Although we would have to give Kakashi Sensei's his in person, he is the Hokage and he has a bunch of paper work already.
We decided to give Kakashi Sensei's his last since he would probably ask questions and such, therefore we could go home right after that and not worry about anything. Walking up the stairs of the Hokage Building, I politely knocked on the door before entering. "It's Naruto and Sasuke!"
"Come in!" Kakashi Sensei shouted.
Sasuke opened the door, holding it open for me. I stepped inside, a big smile across my face. Turning my head I firstly looked at Shikamaru, pulling his invitation out of my pocket. "Here!"
Shikamaru took the envelope from me, staring at me with a weird look. "What's strapped to you?"
"My son! His name is Niko!" I replied.
Shikamaru's eyes widened. "A son?..." He questioned, looking over at Sasuke. "And how the hell did you manage to pull that off?..."
"Just continuing my clan, that's all." Sasuke responded with a chuckle. "To answer your question honestly, I have no idea how it happened but it just did."
I walked over to Kakashi Sensei's desk, extending my arm with the invitation for him. "Here you go, Kakashi Sensei!"
Grabbing the envelope and opening it, he took out the invitation and read through it. "So you two are getting married huh?"
"Yeah, we had to invite our sensei!" I proclaimed, a smile across my face. "Do you think you will be able to leave the village for a few hours?"
"Possibly, depends on how busy I am." Kakashi said, then putting his arms out in front of him.
"What?" I questioned.
"Let me hold him." Kakashi Sensei said, his arms still out in front of him.
I smiled, taking Niko out of tbe carrier and placing him into Kakashi Sensei's arms. "His full name is Nikorasu." I told him.
"Nikorasu." Kakashi Sensei repeated. "He's going to become a really strong ninja, especially since he is the son of you and Sasuke after all."
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're right." I kept my eyes on them the entire time, something rather interesting occurring. "Sasuke," I called out to him lowly so only he would hear.
Sasuke quietly walked over to me, a grin forming across his face from what was happening. Little Niko was stretching out his arms and extending them to Kakashi Sensei's face. Once his tiny hands touched the mask of our Sensei we didn't bother to stop what was happening. We needed to know this, we've been desiring to know what was behind that mask for the longest time and just hoped it wasn't another mask like before. As children we believed that he had buck teeth or big lips but that was a long time ago, about five or six years ago.
Kakashi Sensei wanted to stop Niko but didn't want the baby to break out crying or anything. He let out a long sigh, turning his head to the side and probably not wanting to face us as we witnessed the truth.
The mask was pulled down and what behind it was fully revealed. Sasuke and I stared at Sensei in an annoyed way, Niko in his arms giggling and clapping his hands again. The entire time we've known him for...there was nothing embarrassing under that mask at all! He had a normal, regular human face that he had no reason to hide! This was ridiculous! All these years and he just had a plain and boring face!
"Well, now you guys know the truth." Kakashi Sensei said with a chuckle, standing up onto his feet and walking towards us. "Disappointed aren't you?"
"Um, yes!! Why would a face like yours need to be hidden?! There is nothing bad about anything!" Sasuke shouted.
"We thought you had buck teeth or huge lips! This entire time you had a normal face and couldn't take off the stupid mask?!" I said in an irritating tone.
"Sorry." Kakashi Sensei handed Niko back to me who was laughing, scratching the back of his head. "I'll see what I can do about your wedding."
"I guess I'll come." Shikamaru told us. "Wait, are you inviting Temari?"
"I was inviting Gaara and we sent an invitation to the Leaf, but since he is the Kazekage I'm sure Kankuro and Temari will come along since they are his siblings and protectors I guess you can say." I replied, raising an eyebrow in curiosity and a smirk across my face. "Whyyyy you ask?? You gotta crush on her?"
"Ha! Absolutely not! I'm too busy for a relationship. Besides, the ladies are such a drag." He crossed his arms over his chest and sighed.
"Fine, whatever you say! Alright, see you guys later then!" I said, placing baby Niko into the carrier strapped onto me. Sasuke and I left the Hokage Building side by and walked back home. With the 'what's behind the mask' scene just occurring get out of my head, the only thoughts in my mind was that Sasuke and I are getting married in just two weeks.
I love you so much Sasuke, I'm getting really excited for our wedding day to come and I can't wait to officially become one with you. You, Nikorasu and I are going to be such a happy family.
