LUCY'S P.O.V

One week later.

I sipped at my coffee staring absent mindedly at the television as Stephen Fry laughed loudly at Alan Davis got yet another thing wrong.  They laughed once again at something before I turned the television off, nothing is interesting, everything is just so boring! I almost dropped my cup, oh God, I sound like him.  I shook my head before placing my cup on the coffee table and getting up and grabbing my phone off the kitchen table, I still haven't read it, the message, the message he sent me almost two years ago.  I scrolled through our past conversations, many about things such as getting nicotine patches and how he would meet me somewhere against my will, finally I came to the final message, the message.

Lucy, please come back, I'm sorry, I didn't realise.  Baker Street's quiet without you and I'm bored, Mrs Hudson wants to see you again so you might as well come over, you probably won't ever read this message, please if you ever do read this reply, I miss you.

SH

My fingers hovered over the small keyboard on the phone for a second before I turned my phone off, don't reply to him, you'll just give him hope.  I closed my eyes momenterally imaging him writing that message in his dressing down in Baker Street, probably holding his morning tea in his other hand.  One other skill I'm still haven't mastered, texting with one hand.  I opened my eyes again, staring once again at my flat, as boring as ever, shit!  There it is again! No, no, stop it, forget him, he's in the wrong, you know he is, forget about Sherlock fucking Holmes!  I can't, I can't forget him, his laugh, his unintentional insults, the way he'd hover over me before leaning down and resting his forehead against mine, the way he'd turn up at the bistro and annoy Andre, the way he talked when he deduced, the way he'd walk quicker just so he would seem like the Alpha of the group, the way he'd wrap his arms around me when the flat was cold.  Everything, every single thing I can't forget, he's implanted in my memory, somewhere where he can't be forgotten.  For a second I heard the sound of him plucking at the strings of the violin, making a small tune.  It's like he's a ghost set to haunt me, little things remind me of him, blue scarves, curly hair, long coats, high cheekbones.  I guess to me he has always been the Detective and in my mind he'll always will be.

SHERLOCK'S P.O.V

221B Baker Street.

I flicked through the pictures on my phone that had just been sent through, pictures of the woman, her lying on the sofa, her with her phone in the kitchen, her staring at her flat.  Boring, nothing helpful, no signs of any threat towards her.  I texted back, telling them to keep check and was instantly responded by numerous yes'.  My hand fell onto the empty space next to me, she lay there and would often roll over to cuddle me, or nuzzle her head into my neck, her sleeping habits.  I placed my phone onto the bedside table before stretching and grabbing one of my slippers off the floor and pulling out a cigarette and lighter.  I smiled at the cigarette, since John's been gone I've seen a lot of you.  I lit the cigarette before popping the end in my mouth and drawing in slowly before taking the cigarette out of my mouth and breathing out, watching as the smoke twisted patterns in the air.  My phone bleeped and I stared down at it, my eyes scanning over the message.

I'll be at yours in a minute Shezza, can't wait to see you ;)

-Janine

I rolled my eyes, just another piece in my jigsaw puzzle to get to Magnussen.  Seven meetings with the Prime minister already this year, it has almost beaten Mycrofts' record, he won't be happy.  I drew on the cigarette again before breathing the smoke out, I wonder whether Lucy smokes anymore?  None of the pictures show her doing so but she seems to be drinking considerable amounts of coffee, maybe she's trying harder to give it up.  I placed my cigarette in the ash tray on the bedside table before closing my eyes and somehow losing consciousness.

Dream

"Sherlock?" She rolled over, her deep green eyes staring straight into mine.

"Yes?" She smiled before carrying on.

"Do you ever dream of having children?" I sighed before rolling over onto my back.

"Yes, when I'm older though, I think my current lifestyle isn't suitable for any young child." She cuddled up next to me.

"What would you name the child, I mean if you ended up with one?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Why so curious?" She hit my shoulder lightly.

"Just answer my question."  I thought for a moment before speaking.

"I think if the child was male I would name him Thomas and if the child were female I would name her Helena.  What about you?"

"I would name the boy Loki-"

"After the Norse God?"

"I was joking, no I would name the boy Edison and the girl Rebecca."

"I quite like the name Loki..." I heard her laugh.

"Imagine the teasing he'd get though being named after a Norse God, Loki Holmes, I think that would stretch it a bit to far." I nodded before wrapping my arms around her and pulling her onto my chest.

"Now you answer my question, why are you asking questions about children?" She shrugged.

"I don't know, I just was trying to make conversation and that was the first thing that popped into my head." I smiled at her and she pecked me on the lips but I held her where she was and kissed her again, she responded instantly, kissing back a bit harder then I had planned.  My hands trailed down to the bottom of her back and drew circles as the kiss deepened.  My phone buzzed and she broke the kiss of and grabbed my phone off the bedside table and read the message.

"John says that he'll be late home as he needs to do some extra paperwork." I nodded and she placed it back on the bedside table.

"That gives us what? Two hours?" She questioned, I smiled up at her before pulling her back down.

"Oh that gives us plenty of time." I kissed her again before pulling the covers over our heads.

End of dream.

"Sherlock?" A thick Irish accent spoke out, Janine.  I felt her climb in next to me, she's in Lucys' place, that's not right.  I opened my eyes and rolled over and was greeted by her smiling face.

"Hello Shezza," I put on a smile before stroking her cheek.

"I missed you." She just kissed me on the lips, oh for Gods sake!  I kissed back and wrapped my arms around her, I heard her giggle slightly before resuming the kiss.  Her hands found the buttons on my shirt and started to undo them, please let the phone ring please let the phone ring!  Nothing happened and my shirt disappeared, she led my hands to the bottom of her t-shirt and I grasped it before pulling it over her head.  Somebody, anybody, stop her!  All I could see were her eyes, playful and excited staring down into my eyes.  I have to keep up the act, focus Sherlock, act like you actually like her.  I traced my hands up her waist and to her shoulders where I slid my hands down her arms.  Then my phone started to ring, Janine let out an annoyed sigh and climbed off me and read the screen.

"Lestrade's calling you." I nodded and picked up my phone and answered it.

"What do you want?" There was a sigh of relief from the other end of the phone.

"Sherlock, they've got the documents, the documents have been stolen, we need you over at Scotland Yard now." I smiled, the game is on!

"I'll get a cab now."

"Thanks, right, see you there." I hung up before pulling on my shirt and walking over to the wardrobe and pulling a suit jacket on before turning to Janine.

"I need to go to Scotland Yard." She frowned before throwing me a pair of shoes.

"Can I come with you?" I caught the shoes and pulled a pair of socks on before putting the shoes on and tying them up.  I shook my head.

"Confidential information, you'd be put in prison if you spread what has happened." She tilted her head to the side.

"What exactly has happend?" I smirked.

"As I said, confidential."  I walked out of the bedroom Janine following me and into the main room, grabbing my coat and scarf of the door and putting them on.

"I'll be out late, don't wait up." She shrugged,

"I'll think I'll go out for a drink with the girls, I haven't done that in a while."  I nodded before kissing her on the lips once more and heading out of the door.

"Bye!" I heard her reply as I walked out of the front door and onto the street.

LUCY'S P.O.V

Her flat.

I grabbed my keys off the side and stuffed them in my coat pocket before opening my front door and walking out into the corridor and locking it behind me.  I started to walk down the stairs, somebody behind me, must be one of the neighbours I thought to myself and then I felt the hard push against my back, sending me crashing down the stairs, the next set of stairs came rushing towards me and I hit hard and proceeded to carry on falling, trying to prevent my head from hitting anything, I smacked hard into the metal railing and cried out in pain but still I was going now unable to protect myself, I could just see the bottom coming closer and closer, I screamed  before I hit the floor, hitting my head hard against the uncarpeted floor.  I lay there, the smell of blood hanging in the air, writhing in immense pain as black spots started to cloud by vision.

"Help!" I screamed, my head, I hit my head, it's my head that's bleeding, calm down, calm down, somebody will hear you, just keep calm.  I could just see my left hand, my fourth finger bent at an unnatural angle.  It hurts everywhere, I'm dying, oh God I'm dying!

"Help!" I could see the blood running in front of my eyes just.

"Somebody please help me!" Then it went black.

Five hours later.

I was tied down, I could feel the ropes holding me down to something and peoples voices around me, not English: Russian, maybe the same people who are after the file.  I opened my eyes and looked at my surroundings, I'm in some sort of interrogation room.

"Miss Adler, you're awake finally." A broken English accent said,a tall blond man came into vision.

"Who are you?" My voice sounded croaky and dry, the man smiled at me before folding his arms across his chest.

"Svet Holz."

"Thats not your real name." He chuckled.

"Of course it's not, why would I give you my real name, if you ever get out of this... eh... room you could just give it to Mr Holmes." I scowled.

"I no longer have any connection with the Holmes' Brothers." He chuckled again before leaning down so he could stare me in the eye.

"Oh but you do, Mr Sherlock Holmes currently have seven people of his network monitoring you and sending pictures of you to him, нет nothing inappropriate, just little check ups on you." He kept track, I always knew he was a bit of a stalker.

"But if his network are keeping track of me they would've already reported to him that I've been abducted."  Svet nodded.

"Yes, but there is no need because all you need to do is tell us the location of our file and we'll release you from captivity."

"You talk as if I am a animal." He tilted his head to the side.

"Oh you are Miss Adler, now tell us the location of the file."

"I don't know where it is." He hit me hard across the face.

"Liar." I tried to ignore the pain and tried to keep a calm face.

"Believe me I don't know where it is, I've been framed." He hit me again, harder, causing my head to jolt violently to the side.  A bit of blood started to build up in my mouth so I spat it out to the side.

"Oh you liar, just tell me where the file is and I'll stop hurting you."

"I don't have the file, the Government took it from my phone." He hit me again.

"Liar!" He hit me again but this time in the stomach.  I felt the tears start to well up in my eyes as the pain ripped its way through my body.

"I don't have the file." He hit me again in the stomach and I cried out.

"Oh Miss Adler, you'll be screaming a lot more when the whip arrives." My eyes widened.

"Please understand I do not have the file!" He hit me again before the signalled for the whip and a extra man.  The other man untied me then handcuffed me to a pipe of the wall and rolled up the back of my shirt.

"Miss Adler if you tell me where the file is I won't have to whip you." I sobbed loudly, unable to wipe away my tears.

"I don't know." I heard the cracking of the whip before it hit my back, slicing into the flesh.  I screamed as he whipped me again it the same place, the wound was deep and my body was shaking trying to control the pain.

"The file Miss Adler!" I bit my lip trying to hold back my tears.

"I don't know, please don't-" The whip created a fresher wound and my back arched forwards at the force of the hit.

SHERLOCK'S P.O.V

My phone bleeped again sending me more information on her destination.  I was running, as fast as I'd ever run through the crowded streets trying to find her.  Then I saw it, the old cotton factory and I knew.  I rushed forwards breaking my way through the doors and into the deserted building, down Sherlock, you know this building the underground cellar now!  I followed the map inside my head leading me to the staircase leading down below which was being guarded.  I hid behind a wall, before running at them, pushing them down the staircase their screams echoing as they fell in front of me, forget about them, find her, find her now!  I reached the bottom and jumped over the soldiers and that's when I heard it, the cracking of a whip and her scream, pained and frightened.  I followed the sound leading me to a corridor with many rooms, One was being heavily guarded and had numerous instruments of torture outside it, she's in there, kill the guards get to her.  I loaded my L9A1 and fired at the guards, each a perfect head shot.  I made my way into the room, my finger hovering just over the trigger, ready to fire.  I could see the deep lashes on her back, blood pouring from the wounds and the bandages wrapped around her head and left hand.  He was standing up straight, his whip ready.

"Mr Holmes." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"She hasn't got the files, the British Government has, but you've got one of our documents."  The man brought out a file from under his thick coat.

"Mary Watson."

"Who sent you?" The man tilted his head to the side.

"Magnussen." I froze, he's ready to play the game.  I fired the gun and the bullet implanted its self in his head.  He dropped and I got the handcuff keys out of his coat pocket before walking over to Lucy.  I fumbled for a moment with the lock before it came free and she fell into my arms.  She clung on to my coat like a frightened child, her eyes wide and terrified.  I cradled her and started to walk out of the room when an ambulance team arrived, Mycroft and John behind them.

"She needs immediate attention to her back, one broken finger and a bleeding head, nothing too life threatening.  I layed her on her front on the carrier before nodding to the paramedics.  They rushed off leaving me with Mycroft and John.

"Nasty bussiness." Said John.

"She didn't even have the file." He spoke again.  Mycroft just smiled at me.

"The pain of loss, the joy of redemption dear Brother, what was it you said about not getting involved?" I pushed past him before starting to walk up the stairs.

"Piss off Mycroft!"
