Dropping your spoon into the bowl, your hands went up to grasp the area where your heart was, making sure that it was still beating. Turning around in your seat, your eyes were met with painfully bright colors. "H-hey, Fresh..."

"What's up, my radical friend?" He asked, using his wheelies to make his way next to you. When he got there, Fresh leaned on the island's surface, a smile on his face.

"The... ceiling?"

"Hah, good one, dudette!"

"Y-yeah, but... um..." You awkwardly trailed off, calming yourself down from the near heart attack that the 90s-styled skeleton almost caused you to have. Looking to the aforementioned monster, you saw that he was looking at you with a curious, yet happy, expression. It was pretty easy to see that he wanted you to continue. "Could you... not nearly give me a heart attack next time you silently enter the room I'm in?"

An awkward moment of silence passed before Fresh answered. "I ain't picking up what you're putting down, dudette."

"You can't just enter a room, silent as a ghost, and then randomly shout a greeting to someone who doesn't know you're there," You explained, a frown on your face as you looked at Fresh, his happy expression never changing. Seeing as how he didn't seem to understand, you sighed before deciding to be as blunt as possible. "What you just did, about a minute ago, was creepy. Like, really creepy, dude."

Another moment of silence passed as you and Fresh looked at each other.

"Do you still not understand?"

It took a few seconds before Fresh shook his head, a smile still on his face. Turning your head away from him, you sighed and tried your best to resist the urge to face-palm. "Nevermind."

Picking up your spoon again, you scooped up another bite of your cereal, which had gotten a little soggy from sitting in milk for so long. It wasn't that bad, despite how many people say that it's kinda of gross.

Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw Fresh continue to stare at you, which was starting to get a little unsettling. Not to mention a little irritating...

"So... are you just going to stand there or...?" You asked, your tone coming off ruder than you expected it to.

"What? Can't I just hang with my main dudette in peaceful silence?"

"Uh..." You tapped your spoon on the rim of your bowl. "Well, silence isn't really to be expected from you."

Fresh's eyebrow raised in question, though he didn't say a word.

"I mean, you're a loud person," You continued, removing your gaze from his, starting to feel a bit uncomfortable, "You're always shouting, and you always make yourself known when in a room..."

Keeping your eyes on your bowl, you silently hoped that Fresh wasn't offended from your words. While he seemed just like a crazy and fun skeleton, he did sometimes feel a little... off. That's why you didn't want to get on his bad side, because who knows what he would do if he got mad.

After a few moments of silence, you decided to muster up enough courage to look up from your bowl, and so you did, only to find yourself in an empty kitchen.

------------------------------------

It had been about half an hour since you've finished breakfast, and you were just wandering around the mansion. You continued to keep away from the skeletons' rooms, not knowing if they were up or not. What to do? What to do?

Checking your phone's To-Do list, you skimmed over the options. "Apologize to Blueberry... that's for later. Message my friends... I'll need to search up the time zones. Watch one of the movies on the Watch List... yeah, why not?"

Taking a look at your "Watch List", you started making your way to a specific living room, one that was the best for viewing anything on a screen. It had a big, beautiful HD TV and a very comfy couch that you had used many times in the past. However, it had been a while since you had taken the time to watch any movies, and you made sure to write down the ones you were interested in. That led to a very long list you had to look over. "I could just... decide when I get there."

------------------------------------

It had only taken you a few minutes to arrive at your desired location, but before you entered the room, you paused outside of the doorway, on the side and out of view. You heard voices coming from inside the room, which wasn't any of the staff. Tuning into the conversation, you heard Ink speak up. "Wow, this chair is pretty comfortable. Wouldn't you agree, Error?"

"i GuEsS sO."

"Why do we have to be here with you two again?" A voice asked, which you recalled to be the hooded Sans, who you remember was armed with a knife, from Dusttale. Let's see here... has a knife, from Dusttale, is freaking scary... I guess he'll be called... Dust? God, that's so uncreative...

"Yeah, we ain't gonna cause any axe-idents if you aren't watching us," The Sans from Horrortale said, which you only knew because he made a pun about axes. You remembered that he made about two of the sort when he was trying to kill you. Now... likes axes, puns about axes, has an actual axe, is covered in... blood, is from Horrortale... I'm not naming him after a tool for chopping wood, so I'm gonna go with Horror. Again, very uncreative...

"Oh, please! We all know that's not true! Right, Nightmare?" Dream asked, sounding a little bit sassy. You didn't hear a verbal response from his brother, but you were guessing that he agreed.

"Aww, come on, Nightmare. We're best buddies, why are you agreeing with him?" Dust asked, obvious fake sadness in his voice. Well, now I know for sure that he agreed...

"Y-you guys are very dangerous to the h-humans living here," Nightmare stuttered, not seeming very confident as he spoke. "R-right, Blueberry?"

At the mention of Blueberry's name, you stiffened up. You actually felt more comfortable walking into the room before when you knew that two serial killer skeletons were in there rather than now when you knew that the one skeleton that you didn't want to see right now was present in there.

"Could you at least untie us from this string, Error?" Horror asked, not using an axe pun for once. Wow... he can speak normal sentences...

"nOt A cHaNcE..." Deciding that it was time to stop eavesdropping, you started to step backwards, hoping to get to another part of the house where you could relax. However, that didn't seem to be the universe's plan, and your foot knocked into a nearby table, which had an expensive vase on it.

Turning around, you watched the vase tumble to the side of the table. In a moment of pure reflex, your arms shot out as the vase started to tip over. Just as the vase stopped having contact with the table, your arms wrapped around the vase, and you brought it in close to you. Breathing a sigh of relief, you loosened your hug on the vase.

"Oh, hey (Y/N)!"
