a voice makes her jump.
but it's that girl from the froyo bar, alana, her name tag reads.
"hi." zoe shuffles over.
"sorry, i don't want to be rude," alana takes the seat, "i just saw you sitting here and you looked sad. are you alright?"
"yeah. fine." zoe sniffs.
"where's connor?"
"at home." zoe growls through gritted teeth, getting aggravated by alana's bombardment of questions.
"what are you doing out here?"
zoe has gotten into the nasty habit of not answering questions she doesn't want to answer, and instead just stands up and leaves, cigarette smoke trailing behind her.
sure, the park is better than home, but alana being in her face is not what she needs.
