Hello! Enjoy!

A POV

Eadlyn was sleeping, tired of crying so much. I have stayed with her inside the mobile home, Maxon sitting next to me. We watched her beautiful brown hair spanned across the bed, her small hands curled in two tiny fists, her red cheeks from crying to much.

Someone knocked on the door, and Maxon went to open the door.

"Your Majesty," Aspen greeted. "How is she doing?"

Maxon smiled, "She if sleeping, thank you. And I want to apologize for yelling at you earlier."

Aspen shook his head, "It's fine. I would have done worse if my daughter went missing. I'm so glad she is fine."

I stood up and joined them. "Is everyone outside?"

"Yeah, actually, we were thinking of starting the campfire. Would you want to join us? The boys are thrilled about marshmallows."

I looked at Maxon and he smiled at me. "I think we will. We came here for fun, right? And she is sleeping right now. We can check on her," he said looking at Eadlyn.

I nodded my head. Before we left, I covered Eadlyn properly with a blanket and headed out. Ahren and Kile were running around the campfire, Marlee scolding them to stop. Mary and Lucy were putting sticks, marshmallows, chocolate and crackers on the table and Carter was fanning the fire.

It was night time, and the sky was filled with stars. They blinked like the lights in a Christmas tree, the moon being the star of the tree. I felt Maxon's arm hugging me from behind, his eyes looking at the sky.

"Beautiful," he admired.

"Right?" I said. "Can't see these back at home."

"Oh, no I meant you." I bit my lip and lightly elbowed him on his stomach. He chuckled, "Oh you, know I mean it."

"I know," I giggled. "What a scare we had today."

Maxon hummed in agreement. "I have never been scared in my life. Well, except when I thought you died."

I turned around, "When?"

He rolled his eyes, "When? When you ran to the woods during the rebel attack, when I got shot and you didn't arrive, when you got kidnapped by the rebels. You should stop making me suffer."

"Well, to be fair there were times where I also you were dead. And it wast he most horrifying experience ever."

He leaned to give me peck, "Then I guess we can both agree to stop worrying each other."

"Hm, but I would jump in front of a bullet for you," I smiled.

"Oh darling," he said as he kissed me again. "I already have."

"Come on! The boys are impatient for marshmallows!" Marlee yelled. Maxon took my hand and we both walked towards the warm fire.

We were all sitting in front of the campfire, each with a stick with the dessert they wanted. Kile was sitting patiently beside his parents, as Marlee smiled at her son. Lucy was feeding Aspen some of her s'more.

"Mommy!" Ahren called. "My marshmallow is burnt." Ahren showed me his stick with a black marshmallow at the end of it.

I smiled as I picked him out a new marshmallow. As I was done, I heard Maxon grunt.

"This is more technical than I thought!" He was holding another burnt marshmallow and I burst out laughing.

"Mommy?" someone called behind us. I turned around still slightly laughing and saw Eadlyn standing with her slippers, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Hey Eady, come here," I opened my arms. She waddled towards me and sat between my legs.

"What are you-" she yawned. "Doing?"

"We are cooking marshmallows, dear. Are you feeling better?" Maxon asked as he petted her head. Eadlyn nodded.

"Can I try?"

"Of course" I smiled as I handed her a stick with a marshmallow. She grabbed it with her two little hands and put it near the fire.

Maxon flashed me a smile and I grinned back, pointing at his third burnt marshmallow. He gasped as he grabbed his forehead.

"Oh no!" Ahren bellowed as he held the stick in panic. His marshmallow had caught on fire. Maxon quickly grabbed the stick and blew on it, leaving another black marshmallow.

Ahren started crying, and Eadlyn tapped him on his shoulder. "Here," she said as she brought her perfectly cooked s'more to his mouth. Ahren stopped crying and opened his mouth eating the treat in one bite.

My grin mirrored Maxon's and as our eyes met, he mouthed the words "I love you."

Which I said back.

TADA!!
