ZERO'S POV
I missed this... It was only one day but...
I missed waking up to see her beautiful face.
I'm so grateful Seventeen helped me get back. If she weren't a former agent from PHASe, with her deadly skills..... I would have never returned alive.
It's too early to get up yet I'm already wide awake. But, I stay in bed. Not that I'm lazy... But wanna see Seven wake up next to me.
She's so peaceful like this. I can't help but wonder... How was she when I suddenly disappeared?
*knock**knock*
I got out of bed and walk to the door. It's surely Four hyung.
I open the door but-
"W-what are you doing here Nine hyung???!"
What a surprise... and it's so early. Wait.... "How did you get here this early???" I scratched my head. "Good morning Zero...." ignoring my questions, as usual. "Where have you been?" Hyung frowned at me. I look down... him being taller than me made me feel even smaller in this situation.
"I-"
"Who helped you out there?"
I look up at him. His eyes were scary. They were forcing me to tell him that.. t-that....
"I just f-found my way back...." I couldn't look up at him. I might tell him something I shouldn't.
"Oh forget it haha!" His smile returned.... phew....
"At least our Infinite's alright...... But really? Why leave East suddenly and get lost in the West and return a whole day later with so many bruises and bandages and new clothes you weren't even wearing when you left?"
He really scares the shit out of me. But his expression softened as he reached for my shoulder.
"You can tell me everything Jungkook.... I'm your leader. It's my responsibility to know what has been happening with my team and my members."
'I promised her...... I'm sorry.'
"I got beaten up in West Gate. There were two of them... But I managed to fight my way out...Then I found this store in the Gate, somewhere. I was able to get some clothes without much hassle."
It was partially true... and partially a lie. I'm not ruining the trust Jae Eun gave me. She was stern when she told me to not mention her back at her place. I won't be able to forget the look of seriousness on her face...... And I'll hold that burden.... as a way of showing I was truly grateful she was an ally I could trust.
"Alright. That's all the report I need" he smiled at me... eh what?!
"B-but I thought-!" He keeps cutting me off...
"Yeah I did say send the report. But I got really worried about our maknae.... So I thought I could come visit. Oh-! And Three hyung cooked you guys some food."
I look at his hand holding a tightly wrapped food package. I smile at him. At least they do... care.
"Thanks hyung." I take it from him and walk with him down the stairs. I glance at Seven... still asleep in bed. I'll be back quick. Looks like hyung will be chatting with me quite longer.
EIGHT'S POV
These bastards sure do know how to drink. Course... They're criminals. And here I am, trying to lure in my first victim in this crappy city.
"You're quite funny! Um what did you say your name was? Was it cutie~?"
She held her wine glass between her index and middle fingers. Her eyes were lost and so were her senses. She was tipsy... and under my spell.
Yes, I'm using my augs at the moment. It's my job and things get fun here.
"Nah, you're the cutie~" I twirl her locks in my fingers and continue to stare at her.
A flirt? Quite so. But it's my most powerful charm. Especially with the ladies~~
"But baby tell me again, you know a guy from KAIROS hm?" I grab her chin.
She's completely under my spell now.
"Hm yeah. He's my ex ya know? But like, he freaking cheated on me so why keep his sorry ass?" Her voice slurred and her head tilted in different directions with her every move.
Totally tipsy.
"I see, but do you know where I can find him? You seem to be too nice to be cheated on. I'd like to show him who he's dealing with."
Yeah I just need him to catch KAIROS so we can fucking go back to Olympia.
"Really? You'd do that for me~?" She grabbed my face and pinched my cheeks. She's a criminal and she's holding my precious face!
I'd rather have Seven pinch me to death than have her filthy fingers touch me for even a split second.
"Just tell me honey, and I'll make him pay."
I focus my augs more and feel the tingle creeping up my temples.
"Thanks sweetie~ He's in West Gate. Umm, in the Raszamoore District. His calls himself 'Mad Dog'. Dumb name for a dumb guy I'd say."
'Bingo!'

'Mad Dog? Sure is idiotic to hear.'
"I'll pay him a visit. Thanks for the info, hun, but, look at that. I gotta go... Have a meeting with an old rival. Bye sweetheart~" I pretend to look at the watch on my wrist and stood up, tucking my hands into my pockets.
I wave at her. And she waved back with that satisfied smile on her face. Sure we're gonna give the guy a beating.
'But it's not for you.'
As I walk to the door of the club, I give one last fake wave, "I'm done Four." I say into my coms that had been online the entire time.
And that was it. Four emerged from behind her, running a knife through her throat, cleanly executing her.
I wait for him by the door and we casually leave the club like nothing happened.
"Nice work." Four mumbled out. Oh well at least my job here is done.
"Should I do the report or...?" I ask him. He only stares forward as he replied, "I'll take care of it. I heard enough for the report anyway."
"You should go ahead back to the cafe, Six is waiting there. I'll head back to East Gate."
Even before I could utter an 'okay' or a quick 'bye' he was gone from my side. Damned assassins. Welp... time to head back. I need a bath.
FOUR'S POV
Yeah I know, I shouldn't have left a non-combatant alone out there, but I trust Eight can handle himself enough.
"Watch it!" I turn to a... guy.... about nearly the same height as me.
"Why not look where you're going! Goddamnit!!"
'What the fuck!?'
"Yah! You don't have to be an asshole about it!" I yell back causing him to turn back to me.
"Well I hate to tell ya but my day is already ruined so fuck off before I take out my anger on you!"

Although we were currently yelling at each other, I ended up staring at..... her. It was a girl, who looked like a guy.
"The fuck ya lookin at you asshole!"
She's mouthy though. Just like someone I used to know.
But-
My eyes narrow, what the-?!
I could've held her back but she stomped off mixing into the crowd and disappearing from my sight.
I stood there... completely frozen.
"I could've sworn she looked like....." I knew I was subconsciously mumbling to myself by then.
My eyes followed her form once I spotted her, heading off to the direction of South Gate. I quickly activate my augs to see her face better from the crowd.
"...Like Jae Eun...."

Here's the next chap. And You guys probably noticed they're kinda short from the usual and sorry for that.....
But I'm trying to speed up the events just a bit so we can finally get to One and end Phase 1 and head to Phase 2.
Yeah I didn't really mention that, did I? Hehe
We have:

Phase 2
Phase 3
& Phase 4
Right now we're almost into Phase 2. I'm also busy thinking of a new design for a new book cover for the second phase.
