Spike realized that he wouldn't need to focus on Firebreaking for awhile, so he decided to do something else. While he wanted to learn how to fly, his mother's had him learn how to first adjust to his wings.
"You can't just open your wings and expect to fly right away. That is not possible." Sure, because he figured your are born with the wings on your back and you learn how to fly after your first molt.
Eliyinsa was the one instructing this time. She was actually lighter and smaller than her mate, plus her wings matched Spike's almost down to the talons. It was a weird coincidence but nonetheless, she felt that this would make training him faster. She wasn't going to start off right away.
Rather, she was going to teach him first his anatomy of his wings.
"Your wings are more than just another part of you, they are an extension of your mind and body."
"You should have opened them slowly, son." Eliyinsa snorted with merit. Both saw Spike sighed with annoyance, closing his wings to his sides before sitting up on his haunches.
"Should've figured that out." Indeed, the winds were strong right now, powerful enough to get a dragon as large as his mothers airborne but also a little too strong to send him flying backwards and on his tail.
"We all learn in our own ways, Spike." Zynthia mused. She used her giant paw to uproot Spike to standing once more. The young drake begrudgingly did so though he kept his wings clamped shut on his back. The strong winds should have told him to wait but seeing how this was his first time using them, he was excited. "I was the same way after I molted."
"What you first must learn is that pony wings and dragon wings are different." That, he knew of. "Feathers and soft bone are nothing compared to skin and muscles that keep you airborne. While its true that those pesky pegasi have speed, maneuverability, and agility, dragons on the other claw have stamina, strength and stability. Our wings may not look it, but a dragon could stay airborne a lot longer than any pony. Due to the sizes we grew into, many assume they could out race or outperform a dragon. While speed has been a bit of a defect for some of us, there are other ways to compensate." A purplish glow with a light touch of pink, cascaded over her scales, like a light passing over before her body ignited into a gentle violet flames, with a rosey pink at the tips of the flames leaving her body. This was the first time he had ever seen his mother's fire and the way it danced around her body, made her look all the more stunning.
As she allowed her body to be consumed, she focused them on her wings and her palms, making her wing membranes catch on fire and her palms as well, with the ground itself heating up around her.. He suddenly found himself being pulled back from her by Zynthia, giving her room as they watched as his mother crouch herself, low to the ground. He knew she was about to take off, but he didn't expect what would happen next.
Eliyinsa focused all her fire downward, then like a rocket, launched herself with such force and power, that ground below her cracked. The sheer explosion would have sent Spike flying had Zynthia not been there to hold him. She had dug her claws to the ground just in case. As soon as she took off the ground, she shot up at extreme velocity in the sky. He watched in almost disbelief that right before Spike and Zynthia, they saw and heard the crack of thunder.
Spike's jaw hit the floor, as his mother had just broken the sound barrier. A light violet and pink trail left her body as she flew, taking a sharp turn east, where he saw her flying at breakneck speeds across the lands. He wasn't the only one seeing this, as many dragons around heard his mother break the sound barrier along with her flying and circling the skies in sonic speeds. The trail that left her made her look like a black comet with a violet streak tail. He was still reeling, his mind in utter shock and joy at seeing a creature, let alone a dragon, flying at speeds near Rainbow Dash's level.
But he also saw, that despite her fast speeds, the focus of her velocity is her using her palms and her wings as propulsion. It reminded him of Trixie's rockets, being lit and shooting up to the skies an exploding. He hoped that didn't happen with his mother though...
For what seemed like magic, probably some form of it, Eliyinsa had circled the Dragon Lands in a matter of a few minutes, her trail being seen far away. Eventually she had focused her way back towards them, with her trail disappearing and she began to decrease her speed. She approached them all but dropping her speed to a near dead stop by throwing her wings open into a complete stop in the sky before quickly turning into a glide, circling overhead until she land gracefully in front of them, as if she had never left the very ground.
Spike's mouth still hadn't come up, though he was aware that Zynthia had a grin that showed a bit amusement at seeing her mate show off.
Eliyinsa had her own smile, though it was more pride than anything, along with merry at seeing her still stunned face, son. Finally, Spike looked at his mother with joy and almost leaped into the air as he saw the most amazing display of speed and aerial maneuverability on a dragon.
While seeing Rainbow Dash perform and pull off the Sonic Rainboom was amazing, seeing something close to it being pulled off by a creature three times the size and weight, let Spike know that dragons were truly capable of matching up with ponies.
"Mother that was amazing!" His body was shaking with excitement, tail wagging happily. He ran up to her, hugging her arm in a tight embrace. Eliyinsa bristled with warmth and the attention she was receiving. "I don... I can't...." He was truly speechless yet she knew what he was trying to get at.
She leaned down meeting her eyes to him, flashing him with a grin. "Never underestimate what you are, son."
"And never downplay what you can accomplish." Added Zynthia. "Believe it or not, it took her half a century to do something so complex."
"So... will I be able to learn that?"
Eliyinsa nodded through some hesitancy. "Again my son, what you learn and what you accomplish is up to you. I could teach you everything I can today and you could master it by tomorrow or by the end of this century. Your willingness to push beyond your limits and your mind is all on what your goal is. I have no doubts that you can and will learn whatever you are taught. You didn't past the trials without pushing yourself and we have full assurances that you can learn this." She flashed her violet eyes towards him. "But if you wish to learn all of it this week, we will teach you."

ice from the cold getting to push it to vapour /hold air?
Void to absorb the sjockwaves of the air density and eject it downward and to the wings like airelon + cutting down aditionally the air and eject as well bit of darkness + could be added flame
Electricity , cut down the air the air charge? and release the air
dust similiar to air nothing much not need the efford .
plazma =like fire
water , like ice with vapour abnd cutting the air path

"Okay, to fly there are several things you need to know," Scootaloo said like a drill instructor as she slowly moved from left to right, and back again.
"Wind speed, aerodynamics, and powerful flaps of your wings to take..." Scootaloo said with force, before drifting off as she looked at Sweetie Belle, who, along with Apple Bloom gave her a flat look.
"Right, no wings," Scootaloo said awkwardly, rubbing the back of her neck.
(ghost flight tail)
Her eyes closed in concentration, Sweetie could feel herself become lighter and lighter. It was a difficult thing for her to do, as it went against her natural instincts. But, ever so slowly, she could feel her hooves lift off the ground, and soon she was levitating several centimeters above the ground.
"You're doing it!" Apple Bloom shouted excitedly.
"Can you go even higher?" Scootaloo asked, urging her on.
"I'm not sure," Sweetie Belle muttered through gritted teeth, intently focusing on just staying in the air. "This is harder than you think."
"How so? You're not even flapping any wings. It seems easier to me," Scootaloo said questioningly, not fully understanding how less work could be more difficult.
"It just is!" Sweetie grunted, "Now be quiet, I'm trying to concentrate."
'Come on, higher, go higher.' Sweetie thought, focusing on the mental image of herself flying. And, to both the amazement of Apple Bloom, and a bit of jealousy from Scootaloo, Sweetie slowly gained more and more height. And, as her sole focus was on her flying, her body changed to accommodate this wish. Unnoticed her hind legs and tail became translucent and shapeless, moving around in an unfelt breeze as they became an intangible tail. Sweetie realized, to her surprise, that somehow her attempt at flight had become a whole lot easier, and it didn't take as much concentration for her to maintain. Feeling a bit more confident, she opened her eyes, looking down to see how high she really was.
Her eyes turned to pinpricks as she saw she was hanging above the trees, and her sudden lapse of focus caused her to drop several meters before she caught herself. It was then that she noticed the change of her legs and tail, as the jolt of her sudden stop caused the tail to whip into her face.
She wanted to freak. She wanted to panic. But there was something holding her back. A realization that made her look at her legs with a renewed sense of confusion. Somehow, for reasons she didn't understand, it would seem that her legs being like this helped her with her flying, and she moved from left to right to see the tail trail behind her.
"Hey girls, look," Sweetie said excitedly. "Somehow this is helping me to fly," she continued as she flew around in a slow circle.

"That's a very impressive talent," Celestia said.
Fluttershy blushed. "Thank you. Anypony could learn to do it if they tried."
"Perhaps you can teach me, someday," Celestia said. "If the birds do not mind their secrets being shared."
"I'm sure they wouldn't mind," Fluttershy said. "I'd be happy to give you some pointers."
"Just don't teach her how to land!" Rainbow said, stomping up to them with a folded square of cloth. "Here. I found some berries that should be good to eat. We brought food, but no sense in wasting something fresh on our flight path."
wolfberries!" Celestia said, with a smile. "You have a good eye. I haven't had these in... a very, very long time."
She lifted one with her magic, popping it into her mouth. She chewed slowly.
"Any good?" Rainbow asked.
Celestia nodded. She wiped tears from her eyes. "They remind me of better times."
Rainbow considered for a long moment, aware of the huge gap of time and society between them. She reached across that gap and put a hoof on Celestia's shoulder.
"I must sound like a foal," Celestia said.
"Nah. I've had whole days like that," Rainbow said. "But you know, they make medicine for it." She reached into her saddlebags, rummaging around.
"I don't think a poultice or pill will improve things," Celestia said.
"You're right about that," Rainbow agreed, producing a metal flask. She uncapped it and took a long sip before passing it over. "Here."
Celestia raised an eyebrow and took a sip. She coughed and sputtered like it had gone down the wrong pipe. "That is very strong medicine," she said, her voice a little hoarse. She took a second, longer sip now that she was prepared for it, then gave it back.
"It helps with a lot of things, like settling my nerves when I see Fluttershy do something featherbrained," Rainbow said.
Fluttershy reached for it, and Rainbow pointedly put it away.
"It's dangerous to drink and fly," Rainbow said.
Celestia shook her head. "The heat of the earth's burning heart is close to the surface here, and with the sun baking the stone from above, the winds are uncertain and dangerous. Flying without care would mean bashing ourselves against the rock or worse."
"How much worse could it get?" Rainbow asked.
"The vultures in this place feed well," Celestia said, looking up at the circling carrion birds. "If something falls in the wrong spot, they can even enjoy a cooked meal."
"Maybe if I ask, they'll tell us how to fly around the mountain safely," Fluttershy suggested.
"That's a better idea than figuring it out ourselves," Rainbow agreed. "Buck, it's hot..." She wiped her forehead, sweat dripping down her face. "It'll be better once we're up there."
"Foals(children) can be cruel."
"Even a small burden grows in size the longer you carry it," Celestia agreed.
"Eh. It's like... she'd already learned a lot, and they were asking her to go against her instincts. It's harder to unlearn bad habits than to learn something from scratch. Even though she could outfly just about anypony, she was always getting yelled at by the instructors, and she wasn't good with ponies, so she didn't know how to stand up for herself."
"She seems to be better now."
"Yeah, but back then she was a mess all the time. She barely even spoke to anyone if they weren't a bird." Rainbow scoffed. "I thought it would be a good idea to stand up for her and challenge the worst bullies to a race."
so that is how it happened
"They almost had to amputate. It took six surgeries to get them back together, and, well..." she shrugged. "I can fly, thanks to some really good doctors and therapists who spent years helping me. They made me realize it's what I wanted to do with my life. Not go around fighting bullies, but helping ponies who really need it."
Rainbow trotted out of the water, shaking herself dry. She patted her saddlebags where they were slung over the branch, the burlap emblazoned with a red cross.
"The thermals here are weird," Fluttershy said. "It's hard to gain altitude unless you follow a really specific route. Thankfully, Mister Vulture has been living here for a while and was able to help me get started."
Fluttershy had taken it slow, but it was still a struggle. Thin air. Oppressive heat. Punishing updrafts. Rainbow had never flown anywhere more hostile. It was as bad as the early days of physical therapy and relearning how to stay in the air.
"I was foalish enough, in both senses of the word, to think I could be that pony," Celestia said. "My sister had established a connection with the moon already, and I wanted to match her achievement."
"What is this?" Fluttershy asked, touching down at the edge of wall. "All the roofs are made of dirt." The dirt was cracked and broken, and there were a few long-dead remnants of weeds, but it was an odd design choice.
"The ponies here were self-sufficient," Celestia explained. "They had to use every inch of space they had, including gardens on rooftops."
"What happened?" Rainbow said. A whisper of hot wind rattled around them, carrying the scent of dust and rot.
"When I took on the mantle of the sun..." Celestia swallowed. "I was too young. Too inexperienced. It was too much."
A wide crack went from one side of the next street to the other, running right up a wall and destroying whatever the murals there had once shown. The air was fouled, stinking like rotten eggs.
"Luna took up her mantle so easily," Celestia said. "It was easy for her. Everything was easy for her. I thought I could do the same. After all, I was born to it, was I not? It was my purpose. My special talent. My birthright."
"It was like trying to swallow gallons of liquid fire," Celestia said.
"Sounds like a dare I made once with Pinkie Pie about which one of us could drink more liquid rainbow," Rainbow said. "I lost bad, but neither of us really won."
"I was able to withstand it. Barely. But I couldn't truly control the power I'd gained. The Sun became swollen and hot, like a constant summer. Ponies blamed me for scorching the land, ruining crops... and they were right. And in the end, when my sister's nights were the only thing that soothed them, I grew jealous. You know the rest of the story."
"Daybreaker," Fluttershy said. Celestia winced at the word, but nodded.
"And your plan, let me see if I've got this right," Rainbow said. "Your awesome plan is, let's do the thing that ruined your life, again, just to see if it sticks this time?"
Celestia frowned at her. It was the kind of look that would have sent a noble scurrying off to some dark corner until he was sure his transgression had been forgotten.
"Don't give me that," Rainbow said, standing her ground without blinking. "I'm practically an expert at making awful choices in life. I know one when I see it."
Fluttershy perched above them, looking uneasy. "Mm. You shouldn't... you shouldn't let other ponies force you to do something. Just because Princess Luna asked, you don't have to say yes."
