In a world where Duelists only follow preset Summoning systems, one boy, Yujin, dares to break the cycle. He invents a new method - Flex Summon - a summon that changes based on emotion, not rules. Mocked. Rejected. Forgotten. Until one day, the card he created - Wusi, The Devil One of All Kings - awakens and calls upon a storm: a battle against the Fourteen Kings from other dimensions. His first duel with the cold-hearted girl Rei was just the spark. This is not a journey to become a hero. This is the rise of the Hakaioh - the King of Destruction, the Fifteenth King the world tried to erase. Let the Flex Revolution begin.

Vasilisa Ivanovna Medvedeva is the daughter of a powerful Russian Bratva family, whose father, Ivan Medvedev, once built a close connection with Maximillion Pegasus. Their friendship was forged years ago during Pegasus's long search for the Millennium Items, a time when Ivan's resources and networks proved useful. Since then, the two have remained close-Pegasus not only an ally but almost like family, seen as an eccentric "uncle" in Vasilisa's eyes. Though games like Duel Monsters were dismissed by all the Bratva families as trivial distractions, fate had other plans for her. At fourteen, Vasilisa stumbled upon a strange, black box within in her family's estate. Inside rested a deck of cards unlike anything she had ever seen. Though her family had no love for card games like the one Pegasus showed-off, Vasilisa felt the pull of something greater. That night, she made a contract with the deck, and its leader accepted her as its duelist. Now two years later, Bratva families across Russia are beginning to stir with unrest, threatening her father's position. Concerned for her safety, Ivan has called in an old favor with Pegasus. Trusting no one else, he asked his old friend to take Vasilisa somewhere her enemies could not reach her. Pegasus, concerned for the girl yet amused by the prospect of her being by his side, agreed. And what safer-if ironic-place than a school built for the very game the Bratva once dismissed? Thus Vasilisa finds herself bound for Duel Academy, with the might of Nazarick behind her.
