Ghirahim discovers a strange entity in the woods. What follows is something neither of them would have expected. Note: This fanfiction includes elements from Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Hyrule Warriors.

Connected by a thread of fate, Ghirahim had said. Destined to fight. He wasn't entirely wrong. Six years after the eradication of Demise, that thread pulls Link and Ghirahim together once more, except now they must put their pasts behind them. Soon after this reunion Link is forced back into the role as the Goddess's chosen hero and protector, now with Ghirahim by his side. But, while Ghirahim is slowly dying and Zelda is dealing with her personal troubles, the world is slowly reaching its demise, and Link finds himself unsure if he can stop it.

Link, a young knight in training, learns he is chosen with securing Hyrule's future. He sets off on a journey accompanied by a girl with the same mission to remedy the world of a new evil. As they face many trials and discover hidden truths about one another, will they have the resolve to continue? Will Link be worthy of the green tunic that so many heroes wore before him? But a now grown-up Zelda stood, well sat, collapsed on the ground of a Neculdian field with the man she loved bleeding out in her arms. There had never been a Zelda who'd failed, a Link who allowed darkness to reign, but Hyrule had fallen dead. The fight had been lost. At the scream of the scared sword, Zelda was alone. Scared, injured, pregnant... alone. But she was the final descendant of Hylia. She had to fight on, even if alone. No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget. But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer. Both Link and Zelda find themselves in the middle of this war, forced to fight and strategize and deal with their own inner demons as well as each other, amidst the war the Hylians fight to regain their land and defeat the King of Thieves. > < . They continue to discover the wonders of the Surface, but obstacles from their shared past weigh their hearts and hinder their intimate desires. As I write, my innocent mind grows as much as Link and Zelda's relationship does. Instead of being afraid to share these, I proceed to look upon this as sharing my growth as a writer and a huge release of my secret world unto you, dear reader.
