Soon after that, Chara joins a new family, but their ambition to keep everyone happy goes a little overboard and Chara is flung into a reality of destruction and hopeless wonder. Then many long years later they meet the beloved Frisk, who fell into the Underground, similar to themselves. Eventually everything Chara thought they knew correctly is turned upside down and they as a person are changed forever. ~'The game Undertale belongs to Toby Fox and some of the dialogue is ripped straight from the game itself, too.'~

Frisk has freed the monsters of the Underground. Finally, monster kind is allowed to return to the surface. It's been 3 years since then. Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really? The memories are still there. *I have lost interest to complete pre story and post story parts. An Undertale AU where monsters are still currently trapped underground. It's been 6 months since Frisk has befriended everyone. Omega Flowey never existed, for what reason? Frisk isn't sure yet but they intend to find out. Alphys is worrying to find a way to break the barrier with the human souls they currently have. Frisk stays with Sans and Papyrus often though they live at the capital with their adoptive parents Asgore and Toriel. They've started to get used to life in the Underground when another human drops in....

The barrier is broken, monsters and humans are living in peace, everyone is happy except for one person. Frisk has been getting waking nightmares about not saving Asriel. They want to save him to erase all guilt and to be with their friend. But Asriel isn't the only one that needs to be saved. Something, someone lurks inside Frisk's soul. Someone deadly and has a hunger for power, and can kill anyone they want. A/N Frisk and Chara are both gender ambiguous in this story. Also there will be a little bit of Frisk x Asriel in this story, but this is not a Frisk x Asriel fanfiction. Credit to @karinacat59 for the cover.
