The lives and careers of two hockey players are changed forever when a star player delivers a punishing headshot to a rookie, who happens to be his younger brother. The Stanley Cup Play-offs are in full swing. The Cleveland Crusaders are favorites to win, led by superstar Lucas Reilly. Lucas dreams of winning the prestigious trophy. Eric struggles with recovery, with help from their parents and Chantal, his former girlfriend. The Crusaders reach the finals with a struggling Lucas. He is indifferent to winning.
