Princess Celestia, Prince Solaris, Prince Artemis and Princess Luna decide to retire and hand off the ruling of Equestria to Twilight, Dusk and their friends. Meanwhile, the ancient villain Grogar bands together a legion of villains to conquer Equestria, but King Sombra and Queen Oscura has plans of their own and once they succeed Twilight, Dusk and the rest of the Mane and Colt Six struggle to come to terms with the destruction of the Tree of Harmony and the Elements, while King Sombra and Queen Oscura sets their sights to conquering all of Equestria.

Presenting Princess Celestia, fair and beloved ruler of Equestria, and her daughters, Luna and Twilight, heirs to the Equestrian throne. Wait, what was that last bit? Due to an unknown spell, Princess Celestia must take care of her new young daughters as she fights her stronger-than-ever motherly instincts while finding a way to return everything back to normal.

Dusk Shine was taken from his home in Canterlot as a foal, and the only way to return in to become a hero. But with Prince Artemis, the evil brother of Prince Solaris trying to kill him, and the deviant Twilight Sparkle running around, Dusk Shine might have a harder time than he expected!

A thousand years ago, Princess Celestia banished her sister to the moon, that much we know. What wasn't known, and what Celestia kept secret was that before her banishment, Luna had given birth to a foal. Now a thousand years later, as Nightmare returns to Equestria to bring about Eternal Night. Twilight Sparkle, protege of Princess Celestia, struggles against the tyranny of this ancient foe. The magic of Equestria mysteriously begins to fail, and Twilight and Dusk lead their friends on a quest for answers in Tartarus, leaving the School of Friendship open to attack from some dangerous masterminds but while the Mane Six And Colt Six try to escape from Tartarus after getting sealed in, Cozy Glow and Comfy Flicker furthers their plot to take over the School of Friendship, with only the Young Six and the Cutie Mark Crusaders to stop them.
