This is a story about a princess named Zelda and her envious stepmother, Queen Midna. One day, when her stepmother finds out through the Mirror of Twilight that her stepdaughter is the fairest woman in the land, she orders a huntsman to kill the beautiful princess. However, the huntsman refuses to do so and the princess finds refuge in the Kokiri village with a tribe of children from the Forest and ends up meeting the love of her life, a young man who inhabits the village, named Link. But her stepmother, knowing that Zelda still lives, will do anything to get rid of the young princess. Will Zelda and Link be able to live their romance? And what dark secrets lie behind the Mirror of Twilight and the Queen's envy? Based on the classic fairy tale by Brothers Grimm and the animated movie by Walt Disney. All characters mentioned in the fanfic are the intellectual property of Nintendo and this is purely fan-made entertainment from fan to fan, with no lucrative means. When Zelda is forced to marry a tyrant that would bring her country to ruin, she lashes out at her new husband. The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try.
