Canada, also known as Matthew Williams, is always being ignored. He is constently confused for his brother America, known as Alfred F. Jones, and beaten up by other countries and nations just to 'get even with America'. Everybody thinks Canada is a weak country, that it's never seen war, that its people have never died for a cause. Canada decides to not go to a meeting one day to help his air force practice in case of an emergency. When the countries and nations realize he isn't there, they find a strange book instead. They decide to read it and find a note on the inside. Will everyone realize that maybe some ignore Canada because he makes them uncomfortable? Or is it just because he is usually peaceful? The book holds many secrets about Canada, some probably should be left in the dark, but only if the nations react badly. Okay, disclaimer, probably not terrible secrets, but this will be interesting. But will reading the book really help?

Many of the others began to read the pages, which led them all to realize that Alfred was a whole lot different than what they'd thought he'd be, for being the personification of the United States. Several twists and turns begin to crumble, as a hidden secret between Arthur, Matthew, and Alfred comes to light. While Matthew descends into mental chaos- the rest of the nations manage to take back the journal, only to find out some horrible secrets the American has about them. There is many things we keep a secret, for many differemt reasons. We all have secrets, big or small. America is no exception. He has swept many things under the rug, and one day, he has to leave for an unknown reason. The countries know he has secrets, but how many, and are they important? Dangerous? Italy was kidnapped once again by the allies. America, however, hadn't known until his friends dropped by with the Italian. France had lured in the oblivious boy at the previous world meeting, and the other three captured him so they could get whatever it was they wanted from Germany and Japan. They locked the poor Italian nation in America's basement. For weeks, the Allies would go down to the American's basement and torture Italy for information, but Italy refused to crack, unlike the last few times they took him. America felt terrible, so while his allies weren't paying any notice, he would take care of Italy. It had taken a while, but he got the smaller man to talk, and even longer to get him to smile...
