But maybe sometimes thoughts say more then words. But marriage is still not accepted. Of course some other people are still homophobic, so we can get our loved angst. A wolfstar AU (no-magic) {a relatively short story} The 1970s, a wonderful time of bold makeup, bell-bottom jeans, vinyl shops, police brutality and rampant homophobia. You get the gist. In which, Remus Lupin is a fresh-faced wallflower just out of college, supporting his community in miniature efforts, as to not get noticed. Sirius Black, maybe not as fresh-faced but still just out of college, is, let's say, a little bolder. He's happy to be noticed - even happier when it's the freckled boy that hides in the library. Disclaimer: my parents weren't even a twinkle in someone's eyes in the 70s. Historical accuracy isn't going to be my focus point; but I'll try my best. And obviously, I don't own the main characters, but I wish I did. ::::::Without context, I'm sorry in advance. After a flurry of misunderstandings explained and time travel used, Sirius Black and Olivia Potter flew to safety on the also wanted hippogriffe, Buckbeak. They continued flying in a seemingly random direction for ages, doing their best to keep warm and keep on the beast. Ocean became their only view and soon enough neither of them had any idea where they were. They took turns sleeping through the night, each keeping a sharp lookout for any land up ahead. It felt as if an entire day had passed before Sirius spotted land. They were exhausted, starving, and dehydrated, but managed to muster up some energy to try and get Buckbeak to land. As they approached the landmass, however, they started to notice how densely populated it was. A city was sprawled underneath them, and Buckbeak was going nowhere near it. Despite their urging, the flying creature continued its course for another five hours. Buckbeak finally touched down in a dense forest area with no cars, crowds, or buildings in sight. He crashed down with as much grace as he could muster, flung the unwelcomed passengers off of him, and wandered off to find substenance. "Sirius, where are we?" Olivia groaned as she scanned the sky above her. Sirius was the first one to move, sitting up slowly as his bones protested, "Based on my limited geography, we've either landed in Scandinavia, Canada, or the States. I'm betting on one of the last two." He turned to face Olivia, his words trailing off as he realised the girl had passed out on the dewy grass. He smiled to himself briefly and began to get up. No matter where they had ended up, he wasn't sure it was safe- or if anywhere would ever be safe for the three wanted criminals. ~~ THIS IS A SEQUEL TO The Lost Potter ! Remus was glad he could play the song well enough by now that he didn't have to look down at his hands constantly, but then he made the stupid mistake of looking up at Sirius. He was drenched in sweat and his satin shirt clung to his torso, his dark hair hanging over his face in glistening black waves. Remus felt his breath catch in his throat as Sirius locked eyes with him, making his way over to Remus as he continued to sing, before leaning against the back of the piano to sing to Remus. Remus prayed that the heat of the stage and their performance would suit as a good enough excuse as to why his face was probably flushed red. He didn't think that Sirius Black could look any more gorgeous than he did at that moment, his grey eyes alive with joy, the light catching them as he stared at him, singing in his slightly husky voice, his face shiny with sweat and that damn guitar slung around his shoulder. OR in which the marauders decide to start a band whilst they're at hogwarts :) NOTES -so obviously this is set in the 70s, so i know technically not all the songs in this fic would have been released at the exact time this is set but i just really wanted the marauders to vibe to certain songs so please just accept it ;) and i mean- they're still songs from 70s-80s it's just that some of them came out a little later than when the marauders were in fifth year... -i also know that technically sirius ran away from home in the year this was set but i dont really touch upon it so sorry ab that, and i dont talk about prefect remus either but hey oh well -also the marauders do use the room of requirement in this fic, even tho in canon its likely they never discovered it at their time in hogwarts since it doesn't show up on the marauders map but hey it's a fanfic so don't come at me ty :) started: 12th May 2023 finished:
