The modern outdoorsman...er...or woman. Such a confusing complicated, yet down to earth person. Some may seem more of a "confused and complicated" person. Whatever category they best fit in. What could have happened in that person's life to ever cause them to go over the edge? This book is a collection of short stories to help shed light on such a person. His victories! His defeats. His most proud moments. And his embarrassing foibles. And of course, his father. Who, at every opportunity, made it his personal mission to embarrass his children. Scare his wife. And of course, take all the credit of doing so in the process. This is my ongoing story. I hope you not only enjoy it, but can relate to those events. To the stories. The complete finished story is now up from beginning to end, I hope you like it. Funny thing life, it doesn't go the way you plan. One minute I was jogging along with two healthy parents, the next, they were both diagnosed with cancer. To cap it all one lived in Spain with a potential gold digger while the other lived round the corner with a raging alcoholic. What happened next was the craziest eighteen months of my life during which strange and incredible things occurred almost on a daily basis. My story is not morose, just honest. Time was standing annoyingly still and I think I may have forgotten how to properly breathe. "Panda you have to come sit down pacing is not going to-" pushing my hand out I stopped him from saying anything. I stopped him from confirming the knowledge that there is nothing I can do to make this better. I pulled at my hair ripping a couple of strands out in the process. I hated the white walls and fluorescent lights that adorned this place. The squeaky sound that could be heard whenever anyone walked and right now I was causing a lot of squeaking. The strong smell of disinfectant burning my nose but none of it matter right now not any of it. "Where is he?" I heard the voice and my blood immediately started to boil. "You did this" was the last thing I said before I flew and was on top of his mom hitting her wildly. So much for not liking confrontation.

As with most parents, I'm still growing up alongside my kids and have realised that often they're probably more mature than I am. More intelligent too.
