I was just a simple lady living on a peaceful countryside.
Then one day, I was knocked out and before I get to know what was happening, I woke up one morning inside an extravagant carriage, fully dressed in an elegant white gown with a stranger reaching out his hand from the outside.
And before I could even make a sound, the stranger - a surprisingly stunning and dangerously handsome man at that, came into view and uttered four ridiculously simple yet devastating words that shook me to the core.
And just like that, I became a pawn discarded to become the wife of the most stunning and most unscrupulous man on the kingdom - His Grace The Duke of Kargaz, Calex Hexon Tygart.

The simple and quiet life of Atallie Ygravet was suddenly put into chaos when she became entangled with the notorious Duke of Kargaz. She was caught up as a Duchess surrounded by too many of mistresses of her husband. Everyone thought that for a simple lady from an unknown little faraway county such as Atallie, she couldn't possibly accept her fate to have her man with his too many to count mistresses swarming like flies on the entire estate.

However, everyone was dumbfounded when they saw the Duchess with her cool, unperturbed, and aloof personality as she gracefully and calmly drank her tea while reading some books. She was so leisure to the point that even the disinterested and distant Duke started paying attention to her.

Nobody knew what was going through the minds of the Duke and the Duchess of Kargaz.

Oh, please, Duke, get those glaring eyes of yours away from me! Don't make me snap, or else you'll go blind in just a breath away! - Duchess

Hmp! Why is she so calm and quiet? What kind of game is she playing at? - Duke

In the continent where they live, wherein elements and magic exists, are things as simple as they seemed to be?

This book is for those who love slow-burn, chaotic, "how can they be that stupid," "about bloody time," wrench-your-heart-but-make-you-feel-so-good romances. Because what's life without a bit of drama, right? Throw in epic chaos, a princess on the run, and some evil bad guys (because every story needs a villain), and you've got a book that will keep you knee-deep in drama. If you've come here looking for your traditional synopsis, read on, my lovely readers. And if what you really crave is a mix of whump, smut, and rom-com with a side of catastrophe, then look no further-I've got you covered. __________________________________________________________________________ Proper Synopsis When a devastating attack reduces her home to ruins, Princess Sera's only option is to flee. Seeking refuge on Earth, she meets Matthew, the cocky, confident leader of the Allegiant Academy. Little does she know that the man she's starting to fall for is the same person who wields immense power-the one she dubbed 'Ace' and has been her bitter enemy since childhood. But hey, that's not exactly first-date material, is it? Nobody kicks it off with, "Oh, by the way, I have an alter ego who's a fiend-fighting, blood-killer type that hunts savages for sport." Right? As Sera tries to keep her princess status and crystal warrior identity under wraps, she throws herself into becoming someone else. After growing up in war, happiness doesn't just return-it sneaks up on you, like plants pushing through cracked concrete. But when her past comes knocking, threatening to undo everything she's painstakingly rebuilt, she'll quickly learn that truth has impeccable timing-and her destiny has the absolute worst habit of showing up when she least expects it. But seriously, what did she expect? When it comes to life, destiny, and fate, it's never really in our hands, is it? _______________________________________________________________________________

They see me as a burden. A spoiled, selfish girl unworthy of love or trust. I knew the day would come when my family would finally decide to get rid of me for good, but I never expected them to marry me of to a king who sees me as nothing more then a tool. Cassius is cold and angry, burdened by the weight of his people's suffering. But in rare moments, I catch glimpses of the man behind the mask - a man whose duty has forced him to close his heart to the beauty of the world around him. His advisor Maxwell is quick to cut me down if I falter. Behind his sharp gaze and scarred body is a warm heart, that shows me compassion in my darkest moments. And Theo, who seems just as tortured as the flames he wields, seems determined to remind me of every flaw I carry, but his pain mirrors mine and all I can see is a friend who I need to save from himself. I've tried to make myself irreplaceable in their hearts, but no matter what I do, it's never enough. The magic they have traded me for, the magic that runs in my families blood, the magic that they think will safe their people, is not the one I command. They think I'm weak. They think I'm worthless.
