[discontinued]
For as long as she could remember, Calathiel's life had been miserable, and full of pain.
Not knowing where she came from, she was fed lies from her human master, Denethor II, growing up in fear. After years of torment and abuse, the young elf manages to escape the vile grasp of Denethor, finding herself in the hands of some hobbits.
With the help of Granny June, an old Hobbit, Calathiel feels loved, and begins to learn how to love. When all of that is taken from her in one night, she's back on square one.
It is with the help of an unlikely being; an elf king of the Woodland Realm, that she feels, and learns the greatest love of all.
It started out so sweetly in Mirkwood with love and laughter. Thranduil and Legolas are still learning to love and trust each other. Though they have put most of their difficulties behind them, Legolas still struggles to recover from the abuse he suffered with Lord Katar. And whenever the question of punishment arises, he cowers in the fear of physical retribution.
And now Lord Katar is back for revenge. His wrath is terrible and his tortures cruel. The hurt Thranduil and Legolas endure during their imprisonment tear apart their souls. Who will save them? And, if they are saved, how will they recover from their experiences? Can father and son learn to trust and love each other ever or will there always be a void between them?
