A gruesome killing at a Shanghai museum marks the beginning of a series of events that no one could have predicted.

Tasked with solving the crime, Zhao Yunlan, the young but capable leader of the city's Special Crimes Division, immediately notices a connection to Imperial China, and seeks out an expert to assist with the case.

Shen Wei, the youngest ever head of Shanghai Metropolitan University's Department of Ancient History, finds his quiet, uneventful life suddenly turned on its head by the presence of the charming, charismatic police chief.

Despite their drastically different personalities, the unlikely pair must quickly find a way to work together, as bodies escalate and stakes rise.  But things take a sudden turn when Shen Wei's world is invaded by an unexpected danger emerging from the shadows, threatening the burgeoning relationship between the two men, and even the investigation itself.

This story is a fanfiction based on characters in the Chinese drama, Guardian, and the Priest novel of the same name.  The plot is my own.  I have tried to be accurate with all historical references and with the geography of modern day Shanghai, but I apologise in advance for any inadvertent errors.All Rights Reserved

"The Little Things" by Goraah

*COMPLETE* Following the drama ending that we so hated, I decided to write a fix/continuation of the drama. Zhao Yunlan wakes up in his old body two years after he died. While looking for answers, he discovers that he is not the only one who's back. Also, little things have changed. Which past is right, and what future lies ahead? (Zhao Yunlan/Shen Wei fic. because I couldn't stand the ending, I wrote a continuation of the story. ) [The characters will be based on the TV show, but some of the book's backstory will be seeping in and influencing events. But within the last two months, he has seen gruesome murders and doesn't want to report them to the police because they will assume that he is involved. Chief Zhao Yunlan does exactly that, he treats Wei as a suspect until it's proven he's not, but the killer doesn't stop. He has his own twisted reason why he's sending the images to Shen Wei's mind deliberately. The story follows the chase and watches their relationship become more involved while their lives are put at risk.

My favourite couple as always are my Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan from Guardian by Priest. the story is about two cousins that they grew up together as loving and so close to each other but as they grow into teens they were separated from eachother but later again they got to meet. Zhao Yunlan is a trouble maker and lazy, he hates working and only spends his time playing around. He was the one who raised Shen Wei from when he was a babe until he became a teen but always getting on his nerves. Shen Wei is totally the opposite of him, a wise and smart man that makes everyone in the family proud of him, he is calm and confident. The only thing that shakes his confidence is Yunlan especially that he has obsessive compulsive which make Yunlan always make fun of him. the story is sweet, funny but sometimes becomes serious and sad. I hope you will like it ??

Hello this is my first Attempt to write a story, I hope it will be a good one and worth it to read. My most loved characters are of course of Guardian by priest who is the real owner. The story is about love that emerges after hatred. Shen Wei is married to Zhao's mom and is going to inherit all of her fortune if her son doesn't show up to save it all from him. What will happen between the two after they meet. Shen Wei has a strong and sarcastic character from the outside he is smart and fierce, they call him the devil but deep inside is a lonely kid craving for love and attention. Zhao Yunlan is wise and kind but becomes scary when it comes to his mom and his family. the fight and conflicts between them will grow but they will come to love each other dear, the events will slowly develop in the so coming chapters. wish me luck with my first story.????
