Shadow and Amy are from two different worlds. She moved to emerald city when she was little whilst Shadow and the rest of her friends remained in a small town in Green Hills. When Amy turns 21, she moves back to her hometown missing her much slower pace of life but finds that everyone has changed. Someone in particular has caught her eye, no blue in sight....

"Opposites attract" said no one ever. Amy rose is a happy and excited girl that chases Sonic on the daily. Unlike Shadow, who is a quiet guy, able to find darkness in everything. It's Amy's birthday, and after chasing her favourite blue blur, she is left in the cold rain and with a broken heart in a dark forest. Who knew that this day could end up with a broken heart, and a mended one too? But with a fix, comes a flaw. Can Amy really stay away from Sonic and be with Shadow? Amy after being rejected by Sonic one last time falls into a depressive state and has become an insomniac. Shadow deals with a reoccurring nightmare that has kept him closed off and distant. Sonic got poisoned by one of Dr.Eggman's robots, but no one can take care of him, except Shadow.

After an accident when Amy was younger has left her silent for years. It helps her keep a secret from everyone that she would not be able to keep if she had her voice. She has friends that understand her muteness but she can't deny the pull she feels for one of them. He ignores her though. They don't hang out at all but he's part of the gang. When things get hard for her will he finally make the move Amy's been waiting for? Will he be able to help her? Or, will her secret destroy them all.
