A strangled cry was heard echoing in the forest. A small baby was wailing, the only reaction it could give. A dead woman's arms the baby was laying in, that woman being a victim of dying through childbirth. Annabeth Swan was the older sister of Isabella Swan. Unlike her sister, Annabeth wasn't upset with the idea of moving to Forks to live with their father. Annabeth had continued to visit him every year near Christmas, unlike her sister, so she and her dad had a bond. Annabeth was different from her sister, she wasn't as awkward and clumsy. She was strong-willed and charismatic. She had a few friends at Forks High School, so when they finally went to school, it wasn't as awkward for her as it was for her little sister. As Bella got wrapped up in the Cullen family, Anna stayed away from them. The family tried to include her, because Alice knew that Anna had a mate, but Anna just wasn't one to encourage such fantasies as Bella was. It was Bella that told her about vampires, and that was when Anna's world changed forever. Hidden in the shadows was a blonde vampire. He wasn't like the Cullens, meaning he wasn't a "vegetarian." He killed for his food, but he also simply liked the fight that everyone put up before they died. It was fun, but when he entered Forks, something was different. There was a scent he just couldn't shake, and Victoria could tell that something was up with him. She and Laurent were both curious, but Victoria quickly became jealous, especially once they figured out where the scent was coming from. The scent was a human, and the human was James's mate. Victoria was not happy, and she tried to force herself closer to James, but she didn't quite get what she wanted, and she truly wanted him to feel her pain...

However things change one day as Seth and Bella are at the grocery store grabbing some item for a dinner Bella was going to make for the pack. And Billy says something to his son and Jacob goes over about 2 hours earlier to talk to Bella about it but what he finds shocks him and changes everything.

She had Jacob to fill her heart but too soon in Jacob's books Alice returns to Forks and whisks Bella away from Forks to Italy to save Edward. On the way home from Italy Alice tells her some important news that shocks Bella to her core.
