No One's Pov

River was slowly getting better at certain things. He was really growing. Isabella was in their kitchen cooking him some pasta as he was sticking his tongue out coloring. River looked up to his mama before speaking.

"Mama...When is papa coming."

Bella had gotten use to River calling Jared papa. Even though she didn't know what they were yet she didn't mind it. 

"Soon baby as well as everyone else. Emily said she's bringing pudding cups for you that she made."

River's eyes lit up.

"I get all these treats? But it's not my birthday."

Bella laughed.

"No indeed it's not but it's new years."

"New Wears?"

Bella nodded.

"Remember when I said there is 12 months in a year."

He nods.

"And you know how your birthday happens once every year?"

River nods excited.

"In the begging of that year.....December 31 st it's new years eve and all wait till midnight to celebrate the new year full of more birthdays and happiness. And new things."

"Wike when papa said I go to pre.....pre..."

"Pre school?"

River nods.

"Yes. Which is scary but exciting you get to meet new friends and learn more."

"Weally?"

"Mhm now do you want to eat the rest of the frosting for the cookies."

"Yes!!!!"

River get's up rushing to the kitchen. River was eating his frosting and watching his cartoons as Isabella finished up the food. A knock on the door could be heard. She opens it smiling seeing the gang. She seen Claire and Old Quil and Sue. People that River hasn't met yet she let's them in calling. 

"River!!! We have guests."

River peaks out from the kitchen blue frosting on his mouth as he licks it off eyes widen in happiness as he sees Jared he rushes over jumping into Jared's arms.

"Papa!!! Mama made some Nummies!!"

"Oh did she!!"

"Mhm but I have to wait til later to have some. But I had the nummy frosting. She said I celebrate new wears."

"That's right bud You get to slowly grow into a man another year this year."

"Wike you!!!"

"You know it."

Bella smiles at Jared and Jared's eyes soften looking at her. His wolf had been fighting him for days to kiss her again. He wanted to...He wanted to have this family. But then River noticed Claire and got bashful. He hid behind his mama also seeing Sue and Old Quil. River tugs on Bella's dress and she looked down Emily giggled softly as Claire was confident coming in with Quil.

"Who is tat."

Bella giggled.

"This is Claire this is Quil's friend and Emily's niece."

River looked the girl up and down before speaking out loud.

"She smell like peaches....And....A really bad shampoo."

Bella's eyes widen. The pack looks at River. He was standing quiet away from Claire to be able to smell that....Bella nodded to the pack letting them know River was showing more signs of his bear with the days passing by. Claire get's closer to River and it freaks him out.
