Sky had always been warned of what lie beyond the wall that barred Anthropolis from the dangers that loomed beyond. He had been told of terrible creatures that appeared as humanoid wolfs that hungered for human flesh, creatures that would devour a human instantly upon sighting one.

But after Anthropolis had plunged into chaos after a sudden famine, humans doing whatever possible to eat, even if it meant killing their own kind, Sky knew he would have to venture out of the city, especially when a group of humans murdered his mother from the desperation and lack of food.

He was expecting the worst when he fled the city, going over the wall and into a forest with a canopy so thick it blocked all sunlight. But as he encountered the beings who lived beyond the wall, he realized that practically everything he had thought he had known about them had been a lie, especially with one of the creatures takes a special interest in Sky himself.
