A self-challenge wherein I take a prompt found on the internet, and write whatever I am inspired to write. Expect to see a wide variety of genres - the only rules I've given myself is that what I write must be fictional, and it must, must, must be short.

I've decided to take on the challenge of writing about a writing prompt every day for an ENTIRE YEAR! I've been slacking on working on my writing even though I want to improve so why not do this. Hopefully I improve and you enjoy reading these little writing projects :)

This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. �������� and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. They were written on the day they were published unless otherwise stated. Any similarities to other writers' work is purely coincidental. Thanks & enjoy! ~Laura, 20 Feb, 2018

I heard about this writing challenge from a youtuber I'm following and I wanted to do it too! Writing one small story every week for a year for a total of 52 stories. Let's go!

This book is the submission for the contest of �������� to Rank 2021 in which every chapter represents different themes given by the contest's admins with the main genre of action. Every chapter would be a different story thus this is a book of mini stories with made-up prompts. The �������� to Rank contest is held by @action ---- Chapter 1 (White Belt): 100 words of running from a crime scene. Framed or guilty? Chapter 2 (Yellow Belt): 500 words of the epic banter between good and evil. Chapter 3 (Orange Belt): 800 words of a trip gone wrong, action-packed and fast. Chapter 4 (Green Belt): 1.2k words of mystery and action mashup. �������� in active voice! Chapter 5 (Blue Belt): 1.2k words of scifi and action mashup. Reaction more than telling. Chapter 6 (Purple Belt): 1.2k words of historical fiction and action mashup. Show don't tell! Chapter 7 (Brown Belt): 2k words one-shot of a clear protagonist and antagonist, cliffhanger, and the line "If we do this, there's no turning back." Chapter 8 (Red Belt): 3k words of action fanfiction from a beloved and famous fandom of either movies or games or shows. I personally chose The Last of Us. Writing the same genre day in, day out can be quite a bore. So to shake things up---to push the boundaries of my writing and creative abilities---I decided to embark on a genre writing challenge. Every month of the year, I write a short story in one genre of fiction. This is the 2018 collection.
