This is a one-way road. Does it even matter how I get there?

Why am I so lonely all the time? I hate this feeling
          
          I don’t think the meds are working

The mirror is fogged
          And I did it alone

          Mother, are you proud?
          That I can act on my own?
          Now I can only know of myself what you tell me

I looked behind, and for the first time it was running away from me

In another time, in another’s dream.

My first day on anti-depressants.

Maybe one day I’ll learn to like it

Bring me back a couple years from now. That’s all I’m asking. Just a few years.

          Nothing feels like reality again
          I might be gone for a while
