I am Deanna-a Registered Nurse who's spent years navigating the chaos of emergency medicine, where every shift was a lesson in grit and grace. When COVID-19 swept the globe, I stood on the frontlines, holding hands, racing against time, and confronting a healthcare system stretched to its limits. Those days etched stories into my soul-stories of loss, resilience, and a crisis that demands to be told.  

After earning my Master's in Nursing Education, I traded part of my stethoscope for a whiteboard, teaching future nurses in college classrooms and still guiding rookies in the ER. It's here, between lectures and code blues, that I see hope: students who will one day mend what's broken.  

But my life isn't just scrubs and syllabi. At home, I'm a wife and mom who adores her husband and two sons-my anchors through every storm. They've seen my exhaustion, heard my stories, and remind me daily why fighting for change matters.  

Writing has become my rebellion. When the weight of bureaucracy or grief feels crushing, I turn to words-to vent, to plead, to scream, "This isn't okay.!"
 
My stories are not just mine; it's a chorus of nurses, patients, and families who deserve better. If we stay silent, nothing heals. So I write, teach, and love fiercely, clinging to the belief that honesty can spark the change healthcare desperately needs.
