Just a little Christian convo with Worm My opinion: predestination is real based on God’s omniscience (His knowledge of all) I say this because I’ve heard arguments that either don’t believe in predestination or believe in it but based on God’s omnipotence (His power over all) I believe in predestination because it’s in the Bible but I also believe that many verses in the Bible are open for interpretation. To deny it exists is to deny the word of God. To say it’s based on His omnipotence is to imply that humanity has no freewill of their own and that God loves some more than others and no “choices” we make matter because it’s all already been decided. That’s why I meet in the middle and say it’s based on His omniscience. If God knows all then He already knew all the choices we would make before we made them. We are predestined in that God knew whether we would choose Him and did not attempt to force on another path though, via his omnipotence, He could have. We are all part of His plan in that He made us to have freewill and knew what that would entail. I asked a few different people throughout my life why God created people and they all said the same thing: For His Glory Now I’d like to rephrase that question. If predestination is real based on His ability to control us then why make people in the first place? What glory is there in the worship of people made to love you? I have more reasons for thinking the way I do but they all boil down to freewill so Imma leave it at that. Feel free to leave your thoughts and remember that these are just my opinions based on my interpretation of the Bible and I’m not qualified to be a preacher so do what you will with this information
