Today, we lost our second family pet today. She was fourteen. And honestly, calling her a “pet” doesn’t even begin to describe what she meant to us. She was our kid. We raised her from the time we were barely adults ourselves. In such a short span, we’ve now had to say goodbye to two of our animal spirit children…and our hearts are just… broken beyond words. These beings were our family. Our world.
In the midst of all this grief, being able to return to creative writing has been such a lifeline. A place to feel, to escape, to remember what still matters. I’m so deeply grateful for this space on 抖阴社区. It’s been a small light in a really dark time.

Okay, Robin and the Red Crow seriously gave me all the feels. It’s such an uplifting story with this kind of wandering, magical vibe, like Howl’s Moving Castle with more edge and heartache. There’s a twist to everything, but it never stops feeling personal and real. The story features a very strong female lead, which I really enjoy. And the love story? Genuinely beautiful. It builds slow, but when it hits, it hits.

I'll be honest, I don't enjoy contests that push zero sum games and unhealthy competition. It's just not my jam. I feel like they bring our vibration down, and that divine feminine creative energy doesn't flow through those kinds of channels. But I do enjoy participating in communal spaces that inspire me to move energy and bring long-held dreams and projects into physical form.
ONC has been that for me. Not sure if I'd do this rodeo again, but I finally completed my second ONC submission, "The Guardians of Atlantis." It was mad fun to write, even though the second half happened during some major life transitions for me.
For those interested, as I mentioned in previous posts, this book is my twist on "The Divine Comedy," infused with ancient myth and world religious traditions. It also expands the physical and metaphysical world-building for my main novel, "The Sky Gods of Atlantis."
