Author-nim, I really wanted to gift you something for your birthday, but I was really busy yesterday. So here’s this little poem from me~
Chapter Shy-light: The Tribe Often Overlooked
Shy-light, come home
Won’t you? Will you roam —
About in the fields that no one sees?
Are you gonna get lost with scraped knees?
Shy-light, I’d left you a letter.
Did you read? Did you feel better?
Welcome to my tribe,
It’s a lonely, unfamiliar night.
For you, it’s gonna be a new, old-fashioned vibe.
Whose battle, dear, you’re gonna fight?
Shy-light, it’s time for you to shine
Starlight, every time they call you to their shrine.
And I wait for the moment when you let go
I won’t be there to shout, ”Drive slow!”
I wanna let you go, but can you let me go first?
I’ll never want you to know that I’m cursed.
The streaks of paint splattered on your favourite T-shirt,
I’d done it, thought you’d never bat an eye again,
Thought the pump would burst the heart drowned in hurt,
But I saw you in control, in refrain, no regain.
The debris danced through the flood, in serious regret
All knew, but none saw the regret of the flood-gate.
Welcome to my tribe, shy-light
You do seem a little shy.
Shy-light, let’s stay under the sky but not too high,
They see your star, my little sun
It’s never too late, find me when you’re done
With everything. We must tell, “You’re a Light in Far-Sight”.
