               kiwi?  aww ..  that's  adorable.      [   petting the small kitten and scratching behind its small ears, he kept a secure hold on the small creature. when joked with, his head tilted a bit to the side.   ]      i  mean ..  that  actually  might  be  nice.

            adagio is the type to be really slow when it comes to romance, would probably end up overwhelmed

               i  should,  yes.   [   truthfully, anything would be better than dealing with what they went through back then. any shred of love or compassion, affection and companionship, that all could've saved them from going down such a path. though, he felt like how things were going right now was.. acceptable. as good as it could be.   ]
            
            ..  really?  but  i  left  you.   [ .. ]   why  leave  any  room  in  your  head  for  me  at  all?   [   it would've just done him some good to forget. to not have even come here, no matter how much adagio so deeply wished to reconcile what they once had.   ]

               [   he remained perfectly silent whilst listening, less so evaluating. there was no need to be calculating with his, well, ex-best friend. at this point, adagio wouldn't be surprised if they were closer to being 'strangers'.   ]   ..  does  everyone  love  you,  or  do  they  just  love  the  idea  of  you?  all  of  that  adoration,  admiration,  is  it  not  superficial?  they  don't  know  you.   [   not like he did. but again, they were basically strangers now. all he knew was what they shared in the past. and that? long gone. being in two vastly different stages of life could do that to people.   ]
            
            regardless..  i'm  happy  for  you.
