As I’m sure you know, I’m a fan of your work! So much so, that I felt inspired to write a story of my own, “A New Dawn”. I’d be so grateful if you could read the first couple chapters of what I’ve written, and give me your honest opinions and critiques. Your word flow and the way you construct details to make a visual are amazing so it would literally be the best thing ever to have you go over what I’ve written, should you feel like it   NO PRESSURE THOUGH

          Thank YOU for joining me (and Sunkanmi and Xosa) on this journey! It's been a long six years. Whew.
          
          I considered splitting it into two, like I mentioned in my last announcement, but it just flows better as a complete piece. I would say more about the conclusion here, however I think the end speaks for itself.
          
          I also included a lengthy author's note as a post mortem to address some housekeeping details and provide an open space for any SOS specific questions or conversations.

          Last reminder that this final chapter ("pear") is spicier than normal. Nothing too crazy or explicit (similar vibes to *that* scene when they're fake-dating in front of Xosa's death cult), but I didn't want anyone to be caught off guard by it.
          
          At this point though, I don't think anyone who's still reading is going to mind lol.

          In a part simply titled "Poallu", the God of Death writes a six thousand-word treatise on Love, how to make it, and what it does to us.
          
          He spills a millennium's worth of tea for Sunkanmi's eyes only, knowing full well she's the key ingredient.
          
          All becomes clear. Ish.

          As a friendly heads-up, the final few chapters will contain somewhat spicy romantic content between the two leads. Now that, you know, there's nothing physically trapping them together.

Hello friends,
          
          The latest chapter (4.2k words) of Songs of Ourselves is up and, well. This is it. What we've spent the last 44ish chapters and over four years (!) building towards. Instead of apologizing for my posting schedule, I'll just thank you for your patience instead.
          
          My greatest concern now is fumbling the bag so late into the game, so I took my time with this one. There are a lot of minor character interactions and callbacks that I think contribute to how the story culminates here.
          
          Sunkanmi has to reckon with the consequences of her actions, no matter how well-intentioned.
          
          Xosa has to acknowledge boundaries and learn when best to cross them.
          
          In the immortal words of Syd Tha Kyd:

          This isn't the end, but we're chugging right along towards the final resolution. I appreciate you running this marathon with me.
