Remember I said the next chapter probably won't come until the end of the month? Well... It's gonna be longer than that. In short, I have no time. The detailed version below.
Basically, there 2 reasons, although there're interconnected. The first one is me (who could've guessed lol). Remember when I mentioned the real life responsibilities I'd been neglecting for a while? Welp, they HAVE caught up and are now biting my ass. Nothing extraordinary or unexpected, but it's no Hakuna Matata anymore for sure. Here's the problem number 1: m brain works in a way that I'm either 100 % in, or I'm out, no in-between really. When I get to writing, I concentrate the shit out of myself. So even if I only spend 2-3 days on a chapter and post it, my head will be occupied with the story for the next week at least. Right now I need my focus elsewhere.
The reason number two is the story itself. Updating once-twice a month has worked so far, but it might no longer be the case. The next chapter will be, uh... No spoilers, it's just not one I can just post and disappear for a month. I want to use the momentum it will (should) create in terms of the story line. I'd prefer the next 5-6 chapters to be posted within a shorter period of time, otherwise they just won't be felt the way I intend them to by you current readers. I truly believe that making major breaks between these few parts will ruin their potential.
So, when can you expect the next chapter? I'll give you the worst potential scenario: in June. Definitely not until the end of April, May is also kinda unlikely. That's a bummer, I know. Writing is fun. I *might* continue the story in the meantime without publishing anything. I guess that's a compromise I can afford to make with my life rn. No promises though.
Hopefully this break will inspire you to write your own book (hey Sarah xD) just like the long-chapters dude triggered me ;)
