Jeon woke up to the wonderful smell of breakfast cooking. He quickly made the bed and took a shower, smiling at the remembrance of the last time he spent the night at Jia's place in New York. It wasn't a bad memory anymore. He got changed and folded Jia's clothes neatly, laying them on the bed.
He checked his phone for messages and was deflated to see no messages or calls from Hei-Won. Was she still mad? He decided to give her a call.
"Kookie? Where are you?"
"Good morning to you too. I'm in Jia's place."
"What? How did you end up there?"
"I saw her in the JG apartment last night when she dropped off her gift. We had pizza then I took her home. Her parents found out it was my birthday and served me seaweed soup and sweets. By the time I needed to go home, it was kind of late so Jia's dad asked me to spend the night."
"I see."
"Are you.....ok with this?"
"Why shouldn't I be?"
"We....we weren't ok yesterday so...."
"Let's talk about that later. You left Hei-Jun."
"Yes, I'm sorry. I'll pick him up later. Let's have lunch together, ok?"
"Ok."

Jeon and Hei-Won were having lunch in an open café, with Hei-Jun contentedly nestled in a chair beside Jeon. It was a nice summer day, a bit hot but the sky was an intense blue against fluffy white clouds and a cool breeze drifted every now and then.
Hei-won noticed Jeon was in a good mood, he was smiling a lot and he seemed to have recovered from their argument. She regretted her outbursts, she felt bad for spoiling Jeon's birthday. Then she remembered he was with Jia last night. Did Jia give him cause to be this happy? She cursed herself for being so stupid. If she didn't cause drama, Jeon could've spent the night with her and they would've been both happy.
"What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" Jeon asked her playfully.
"Nothing, I was just thinking about our fight last night. I'm sorry for spoiling your birthday, Kookie."
"Let's move on from that. I'm not working today, so we have time to spend together?"
He smiled at her and held her hand. Maybe things will be ok. She just had to play her cards right to avoid getting on Jeon's bad side. Jeon's phone suddenly lit up.
"Hello Hobi? Huh? Where?" He looked around, and suddenly he was smiling widely and waving at Hobi, who was walking towards them.
"Hei-Won-ah, hello!"

Hobi waved cutely at her, making her smile. Hobi had an infectious sunny disposition that Hei-Won liked so much. Before she and Jeon became a couple, she secretly had a crush on Hobi because he was such a good dancer. Now a successful clothing retailer, he was still the same jolly Hobi who was always nice to her.
