As a mage living in solitude, I have never seen a spark in my life. I was seen, broken, left unscathed with emotions, just as I was first declared born into this world. Horrific, I know. It seemed unnatural for a person such as me to exist. All I care was training with the powerful sorcery I have mastered, embracing the only thing I completely mastered. However, the flames merging from within my soul was kept left untouched and hidden by the light.

Robot, an emotionless machine, a mannequin, a puppet without its strings. Many calls from the people surrounding my existence placed their interest on stamping my being. But, it didn't matter. Despite not knowing the many possibilities from 'emotions', I was left without a path in front of me. Just a cold hearted woman in the Moniyan Empire, following the orders above.

"(Y/N)," a voice called out.

I turned around, only to be greeted by the princess herself. I bowed in respect before I let my arm swung down in a formal gesture. "Princess Silvanna."

"Arise, please."

She put out a warm smile as I lifted my body back in a straight pose. The warmth of the sunlight reflected from her golden shining hair drew its reflection towards my (E/C) eyes. She was rather friendly to me than any other of her comrade. Seeing as I was her best lieutenant. "We are preparing for the first sail, I'm expecting you to be on board my part of the vessel," she informed.

I lifted a brow, confused for her sudden request. I was ordered for the first line in command from General Horus. Leading the second group for the east side of the charge. "Princess, I was ordered to lead the second group of the battalion marching in the east side by General Horus. I believe there must be--"

"No, (Y/N). I want you on my team."

With such an honor to be standing on the princess' side, ultimately I should be joyful enough to let out a wide grin. However, I didn't feel like it was sufficient. Let alone it didn't make me feel the need to do such so.

For the longest time, I wanted to feel such a blessings. Having to be able to feel emotions, care, love, affection, joy. But the mechanism in my chest seemed to be broken. Not having any secondary spare parts for them to replace whatever the error within my body.

Princess Silvanna knew my personal problem. However, she executed her kindness rather than projecting a concern towards me. I found it quite, intriguing and interesting. I had no friends, let alone close friends. I always stood out alone in the group, only communicate when it's necessary enough. People always stare at me with a blind eye, judging as if I was being distance towards others. But in reality, I just feel emptiness.

I tilted my head, "Are you sure, your highness?" I asked. Trying to ensure her decision for it not being a grave mistake. She could just choose another skilled warrior to accompany her, offering me the place was a privilege I couldn't object.

"Never in the slightest doubt, (Y/N)," she cornered a smile.

The docks were filled with many merchants lifting off with their supplies on their back. Slowly being evacuated as General Horus kept shouting them to step in their movement to speed up. The empire decided to camp for the night, waiting for the other team to scout of the island in the far north. Some sailors said they have sighted a few demons in the forest. With eyes flaming like eternal darkness, they said. Obvious enough the orders for them to leave the shore was given the instant the empire knew threat was near.

The slashing blade in my hands sparked some flames little by little as I continued to sharpen it. The spark from the campfire started to spread its warmth little by little. Barely recognizing the chatter from afar reach of my hearing senses.
