Up In The Tower (Karlnap)

bro this chapter took an actual year to write (yay 2020 is over! happy new year!)

 Sapnap was wandering around the woods once again. This was almost turning into an everyday thing he could just never sleep. He liked these woods quite a bit when he was little his best friend's George and Dream and he would always play hide and seek here or just have little tea parties and play pretend, but he remembered if they came home covered in dirt and grass stains they would get scolded by his mother and told that 'good little boys don't ruff house and play in the woods they are meant to stay home and play dress up or paint pictures of flowers'.

this would always upset Sapnap for he didn't want to just stay at home all day he wanted to run through fields playing with wooden swords, or climb the trees in the garden just like his older sister. as he grew older he would always visit this one spot in the woods where he had made so many happy memories as a kid, especially when he was stressed out. this was one of those nights where his own thoughts seemed to ring through his mind never completely fading away but just continuing to ring until he finally snuck out and started to almost float to this place. 

As he approached this special little clearing, he saw that someone was already there Sapnap quickly hid behind a bush and approached the person slowly. As he got a bit closer he realized that the person was asleep, or maybe the person was dead. This thought scared him a bit so he walked up to them to make sure they weren't actually dead.

"Hey, wake up!" he shook the person a bit. "Hello? wake up!"

"Lucy I can wake up by myself leave me alone!" the person groaned pushing Sapnap away a bit.

"Whos Lucy?" He asked them. 

"Wha- OH MY GOD WHERE AM I?" The person woke up with a start looking around them.

"Oh, you are in the 'haunted' forest. why? are you lost?" Sapnap made little quotations around the word haunted. This made him smile because the haunted part usually seemed to scare everyone so they would always stay away which was nice because that meant that no one could bother him while he was here.

"Yeah, I might be a bit lost" The boy admitted. "But that's a good thing cause that means I don't have to go back to that stupid fucking tower" 

"Oh well then, any reason you don't want to go back to 'that stupid fucking tower'?" Sapnap asked him.

"It's so dumb like I didn't even want to go! but my parents want me to marry 'A strong masculine princess' because it's 'good for me' and 'it's only the family tradition'" He grumbled sitting down with his legs in a criss-cross position. 

"Oh, that sucks" Sapnap sat down next to the boy sitting in the same position. 

"Yeah, so what's your name?" 

"Oh well my real name is Nick but most people just call me Sapnap, whats yours?"

"My name is Karl" He smiled.

"Nice to meet you, Karl! but, question, since you like escaped your tower thing, doesn't that mean people will be looking for you now?"Karl's eyes widened a bit.

"Oh honk I didn't think about that" Sapnap giggled a bit. "What's so funny?"

"I don't know but you just said honk instead of cursing or something which is something you don't hear every day"

"Heyyyyyy meanie it's like an on and off the habit, I can't help it" Karl whined.

"Hah okay, but you'll freeze to death if you just sleep here" Sapnap pointed out "well that or you will get kidnapped by some creepy middle-aged lady"

"Oh, well nice to meet you I guess. I'll leave now," Karl started to walk off in a random direction.

"I wouldn't go that way if I were you"

"Why?" He stopped and turned to face Sapnap.

"Well, I guess you can go over there if you wanted too but there's a really unstable cliff that way and if you make one wrong move the rock under you will fall." 

"Hm okay then" Karl turned around walking in a different direction this time.

"Unless you don't mind walking through a field of thorn bushes I don't recommend going that way either" Sapnap laughed a bit as he remembered the time his friend Clay accidentally ran into the bushes and tore his new dress.

"AUGH fine which way can I go"

"Well, what way did you come from?" Karl just glared at him trying to remember.

"I- I don't know," He said slightly embarrassed.

Pointing to the path behind Karl Sapnap said, "I don't think you came the way I came from so since there are only two ways you can go you have to take that path to get home" 

"I don't want to go back to the tower I already told you that" 

"Anywhere else you plan to stay?"

"No" since Karl's parents had always been super overprotective he didn't have much time to go out and meet people his age to be friends with.

"Then you kind of have to go back its almost sunrise so no one will realize you are gone" Said Sapnap.

"I don't want to go back there how many times do I have to tell you that?"

"Well you can't stay here so where do you plan to go?" 

"I- Ummmmm" Karl really didn't plan much of where he would go once he was out of the tower he only planed how to get out.

"Here how about you go back to the tower BUT you can come here once or twice a week and we can hang out or something," Sapnap thought that this was a great idea because that meant he could see Karl again and he was just praying that Karl would agree with him.

"No, I want to stay here!" Karl pouted.

"Come on pleaseeeeeee?!" Sapnap gave him puppy eyes.

"Nope" 

"AUGH fine then I will just take you back to your 'stupid fucking tower' myself" Picking Karl up Sapnap started to walk in the way that he believed Karl came from.

"HEY! put me down!" Karl screamed.

"Okay" Sapnap dropped Karl to the ground.

"OW! not like that you idiot!"

"What? but I did what you asked!" 

"Oh haha you're soooo funny" Karl scoffed as he got up and brushed some dirt off of him.

"Thank you!" Sapnap said in a joking way. "But really you should go home trust me"

"If I go back to the tower will you leave me alone?"

"Yeah but you can always visit I come here often so I'll be around!"

"Ha, I'm not coming back don't worry" Karl walked off leaving Sapnap in the clearing.
