Up In The Tower (Karlnap)

Karl woke up in a tangle of his blankets rubbing his eyes he looked around his room he looked over at his window to see it was opened a crack. 

"That's weird I could swear I closed that last night" He tried to sit up to go close it but was stopped by a weight clinging onto his arm. "oh so it wasn't a dream,"

Karl slowly slid his arm out of Sapnap's grip and walked over to the window closing it trying not to make a sound. He tiptoed back to the bed and stared at Sapnap for a couple of seconds he looked so calm and peaceful his hair was messy and his breath was slow and steady his chest slowly rose and fell the way the many sheets and blankets wrapped around him and small soft snores were escaping his lips. everything about this moment was perfect Karl wanted it to last forever but perfect moments can't always last forever and Karl knew that Lucy would be up soon.

"Hey, Sapnap, you need to wake up now and leave Lucy will be up soon" Whispered Karl really not wanting to wake him up. "Sapnap, wake up" Karl gave him a little nudge and he made a small grunt. 

"Can we cuddle for a bit more?" His morning voice sounded almost soft but was deeper than his normal voice was. "I'm still tired" 

"Augh fine, but only for a little bit" Karl walked over to the bed and wrapped Sapnap in his arms holding him tight.

"Thanks for letting me stay for the night and I'm sorry for waking you up," Sapnap said in a small voice.

"It's okay don't be sorry I should be the one apologizing for getting mad at first and making you cry" He held Sapnap a bit tighter not wanting to ever let go. "I promise to never yell at you again" 

"Thanks" he turned around and hugged Karl back.

There was a knock on the bedroom door. Karl quickly let go of Sapnap and hid him under the covers.

"Wha- Hey!" 

"Shhh someones at the door you idiot" Karl whispered to him. "Yes? Who is it?"

"There is someone here to see you, Karl! be downstairs in five minutes make sure to look nice" Lucy called, joy in her voice.

"Oh um okay?" Karl waited for Lucy's footsteps to fade away. 

"Does that mean I have to leave now?" Sapnap asked holding one of the many pillows in his arms.

"Yeah, but we can still meet tomorrow night okay?" He gave him a quick hug then helping him out the window. "Stay safe!"

"You too Karl!" Sapnap slid down the rope and landed softly on the ground. 

Karl quickly changed into a dress and walked downstairs to see Lucy and another girl that looked about his age maybe a couple of years older.

"Uh hello?" Karl asked attempting to fix his dress which was very uncomfortable.

"Karl this is Mary she has come here to duel me if she wins then you will get to marry her!" Lucy exclaimed jumping up and down slightly.

"Good morning prince Karl" Mary bowed down to him then turned to face Lucy. "Should we go out to have our duel now?" 

"Sure! Karl come on!" Lucy skipped down the stairs to the door that had like a million different locks on it unlocking each one with joy.

Once they were outside Karl was hit with a blast of bright sunlight. The two girls walked over to the wide-open field of grass pulling out their wooden swords while Karl walked over to a chair that must have been set out just that morning and sat down. 

"Alrighty, you know how this all works right? best of three you say?" Mary asked a spark in her eyes.

"Yep! you count us down, Karl" Lucy answered the same spark in her eyes.
