Sunhee watched as Kevin looked at them for a moment, Mark's arms still around her, and then promptly turned around and left through the same door he'd just came from. Her heart dropped as she watched him go.

She gently pried herself out of Mark's arms. "I'm going to go get some water, alright? Don't miss me too much," she teased, pinching his cheek playfully.

And then she ran after Kevin.

She caught up to him quickly and grabbed his arm, spinning him around to face her.

"Hi," she said, breathless. "What you saw... that was nothing... he just-"

"Sunhee," Kevin said firmly, cutting her off. He took her hand and gently pushed it away. "Why are you explaining yourself to me?"

She blinked up at him. He was right. Why was she doing this? Why did she feel the need to run after him like that?

"You were crying," Kevin said gently, taking a step closer to her and wiping the tears off of her cheeks. "Are you alright?"

Her heart beat faster at their close proximity, and for a second she couldn't say anything, couldn't even move.

"Sunhee?" Kevin whispered.

"Yeah?" she said, blinking a few times and trying to focus. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just... I just finally decided to be honest with him about how I feel," she said, grinning up at him.

Kevin sucked in a sharp breath. "And... does he feel the same? Are you guys dating now?" he asked, a slightly panicked expression on his face.

"No, not that," she told him, laughing a little at his expression. "I told him about how I feel here. How suffocating it is."

"Oh."

She watched Kevin relax, looking visibly relieved that she hadn't confessed to Mark.

Why? Why was he acting like that? And why was her heart racing, being near him? Why didn't she feel that way around Mark earlier?

And why did she have the sudden urge to tippy-toe and kiss Kevin?

"What's going on here?" Mark asked, coming through the door.

Sunhee froze. Kevin's hand was still cupping her face from when he'd been wiping away her tears. They were standing really close together, and she realized how they must have looked to Mark. Like lovers.

Neither of them moved. They both froze for a second, their eyes widening as they exchanged a glance.

Kevin was the first to move. "Sorry," he muttered, looking at Mark.

"Why are you sorry?" she whispered to him. "You didn't do anything."

"Because..." Kevin trailed off, looking intently at Sunhee's face.

"Sunhee, can I talk to you?"

She looked back and forth between Mark and Kevin. Mark, whose expression was unreadable as he asked her to talk. Kevin, who looked on the verge of panic.

She nodded. "Okay," she whispered. "We should talk."
