🍭Esme's P.O.V 🍭
As we walked into the television room Willy quickly grabbed a pair of goggles and put them on.
"Here" he said "put these on quick and don't take them off whatever you do. This light could burn your eyeballs right out of your skulls!" He looked over at me "And we certainly don't want that, now do we?"
Once everyone had a set of goggles, Willy began leading us through the television room.
"This is the testing room for my latest and greatest invention, television chocolate!" He explained "one day it occurred to me, hey if television can break up a photograph into a million tiny little peices and send it whizzing through the air, then why can't I do the same thing with chocolate? Why can't I send a real bar of chocolate through the television already to be eaten?"
"Sounds impossible" stated Mr. Teavee.
"It is impossible!" Said Mike "you don't know anything about science! First off there's a difference between..."
Blah blah blah! I thought does this kid ever stop? We get it! You're a smart aleck!
Willy must have been thinking the same thing as me, because he turned to Mike and yelled:
"Mumbler!!! Seriously, I can't understand a single word you're saying!"
I giggled. That really shut him up!
Willy seemed to calm down when he saw me smile.
"Okey-dokey" he said "I will now send a bar of chocolate from one end to the other by television. Bring in the chocolate!"
A team of oompa loompa's brought in a wonka bar so big, it could have fed a mammoth!
"It's gotta be real big" explained Willy "cause you know when you film a regular sized man and he comes out looking this tall? Same basic principle."
He turned to me "Would you like to do the honors, Esme?"
"Sure" I said.
"Here" he stepped aside "push that big red button, right there."
I gently pushed the button and the chocolate bar floated up into the air and the camera focused on it. Then in a flash it was gone.
"It's gone!" Charlie and I said in unison.
"Told ya" said Willy "that bar of chocolate is now rushingin the air above our heads in a million tiny little peices. Come over here!"
We rushed over the television set and huddled around it.
"Watch the screen!" Said Willy excitedly "Look! Here it comes!"
The bar suddenly appeared in the middle of a evaluation tv program.
Willy nudged Mike. "Take it" he told him.
"It's just a picture on a screen" said Mike unbelievably.
Willy tsked "scaredy-cat."
He turned to Charlie instead. "You take it" he said "go on, just reach out and take it."
Charlie reached out and took the chocolate bar right out of the television screen.
"Holy buckets!" Gasped his grandpa.
"Eat it" said Willy "go on, it'll be delicious. It's the same bar it just got a little smaller on the journey, that's all."
Charlie slowly unwrapped the bar and took a small bite.
