Jentzen was sitting through class and the rumor made it through that Reese has pink hair. But he also heard that she looks really good, that's great because nobody got in trouble and Reese doesn't look terrible. He spent class trying to picture Reese with pink hair, her chestnut curls down to her back but pink, but whenever he pictured her she was walking with Zoey and Skye, he still got butterflies in his stomach and instead spent class doodling Skye in his planner. He didn't even think about his social status and what would even happen, yet he couldn't imagine life without his friends, even if he thought they weren't the best, they'd been there for him. For example, when he had a crush on Abby, his friends helped him ask her out, except he doesn't like her now, so, that's that. He was floating the whole class thinking about her but also there was that little voice yelling...

It was finally courtyard period, his friends weren't there so he sat hidden in the shadows, he watched everyone else just sitting there, he felt like a stalker until an image popped into his head, it was of Reese when milk was poured all over her, he remembered the captions, milk girl. He sighed, he thought Reese was nice, from all of the conversations he heard (eavesdropped). He sighed and looked up at the light pouring through the trees. It then reminded him of his mom, how when he was little they would look up through the trees. He got a little bit choked up and his eyes got a little misty and it reminded him of that walk with Skye, how she started crying, he picked up a leaf and started tearing it apart and sighed.
Skye was walking out into the courtyard, wanting her friends to be there. She was looking around and saw something that blew her mind, Jentzen Ramírez, the football quarterback, sitting alone? This was only because again...

She decided to walk over, and awkwardly said, "Hi!" He turned around, Skye smiled at him, and he smiled back, her aunt tells her she has a "contagious smile" she sat down. She saw in his eyes the look as if he had been crying, but How would that come out?

So she decided to just leave it, besides a blush was creeping up her cheeks and she looked at what he was looking at, he looked at her and looked away, clearly blushing, she thought to herself, "Well Ms. Ramara you DEFINITELY have a crush on him, and there is a chance he has a crush on you!" She thought about that walk if she had not been crying when he hugged her, she would have floated away, but her thoughts were interrupted by a loud, "OH MY GOD!" They both jumped when they saw Abby Miller she started crying screaming, "HOW COULD YOU!" She broke down crying, and Jentzen saw trying to console her. Skye got the memo to go, so she just left real smooth 😎.
As Skye and her friend group were walking to class, Reese was admiring her pink hair in every single mirror they passed, this was a surprise, pink was Reese's least favorite color, Skye looked at herself in the mirror, as always a girl with shoulder-length blonde beach waves and light blue eyes stared back.
