"Not to ruin your day, bestie, but you look like a ghost," Mina told Hee-soon as the latter placed her bag on her station and sat on her swivel chair. She's feeling under the weather today and she thinks she'll catch a cold. She keeps on sneezing since earlier this morning.
"Are you okay?" Mina asked with worry.
"Not that okay but I'll be fine. I just need to drink a lot of water," Hee-soon assured her. She grabbed her tumbler from her table and stood up to get water from the dispenser. As she was fetching herself some water, Ji-hoon got out of his office which is located near the water dispenser.
"Good morning, Mr. Lee," she said and bowed as respect.
"I thought we have agreed to call me by my name," Ji-hoon said and placed his hands on his waist, pretending to be mad.
Hee-soon chuckled at her action. "We are in the office and I think it is just appropriate not to call my supervisor by his name," she smiled. "I don't want others to think that I am taking advantage of your kindness."
Ji-hoon smiled at what she said. The girl proves to him every day that she's a genuine person and that she doesn't deserve what he was planning all along. "Alright. I will expect that you will call me by my name when we are not in the office."
Hee-soon wondered if there will be chances where they will meet out of the office. Their dinner last night will not happen again. They only had dinner out as a token of appreciation. "I will," she said.
"By the way, why were you in a hurry last night? Did something happen?" Ji-hoon asked.
"My friend needed help last night," she simply said and did not explain further. She doesn't want anyone in the office to know she's friends with an actor who happens to be gaining so much attention nowadays. "I'm sorry I left in a hurry."
"It's fine. Is your friend okay?" He asked.
"He's fine now," she simply answered again. "I'll start working now, Mr. Lee." She bowed at him once again and walked back to her station.
Hee-soon started her day sorting some film edits and placing them in one folder. She sent the file to her email and also placed it in a USB flash drive as back up just in case. After sorting, Mina continued teaching her the technicalities in the editing room. She learned the aspect ratio in which the width and the height of the video relate to each other. She also learned how to smoothly transition videos and some techniques on how to make the transition of each scene not awkward.
Hee-soon tries to remember all and like what she did last time, she made sure to take down notes. Since she's not feeling well, there are times when her head throb from pain and she can't focus fully on what Mina was telling her.
"Let's take a break. You really need to rest. I can see your eyes start to be droopy and watery. Why did you not just call in sick?" Mina said with worry as she helps her sit on the couch inside the editing room.
"I just got in this department yesterday. It will be very rude if I'll be calling in sick today," Hee-soon smiled. "Don't worry. I just need to rest for a while." She assured Mina.
"I insist. Grab your things now. I'll take you home." Both Mina and Hee-soon turned their head on the door when they heard Ji-hoon's voice. "No wonder you look pale when we talked earlier." He said with worry.
"I'll be fine, Mr. Lee. I'll just rest a bit then I'll get back to work," Hee-soon stood up and was about to go back to her station to grab some medicine from her medicine kit which she always brings in her bag. She was stopped by Ji-hoon by her wrist.
"You can't work in that state," he said and faced Mina. "Let's continue tomorrow. You can go back to your station," he said and smiled at the girl who is staring at them, wondering why Ji-hoon acts that way towards the new girl. She got out of the editing room after bowing at Ji-hoon.
