"Mr. Lee, I --" Hee-soon tried to protest but Ji-hoon is quick to stop her from talking.
"You think I'll allow one of my team to continue working knowing that she is not feeling well? I am not like your previous supervisor, you know," he said and chuckled. "Now go grab your bag and meet me in front of the office. I'll just get my car." He said and went out of the editing room before she could even say anything.
Hee-soon has no choice now but to follow the order of her supervisor. She feels so lucky that she's now under Ji-hoon's supervision. She remembered the last time she tried calling in sick before but her previous supervisor did not allow her so she had no choice but to go to the office bringing lots of pain reliever for her headache. That made In-youp furious that he tried to rush into the office to talk to my previous supervisor.
"Just don't go to the office," In-youp insisted as he leans his arm on the door frame of Hee-soon's bedroom, watching the girl put on some light lipstick.
"Do you want my boss to fry my ass? I might lose my job if I don't go to the office today," she tried to explain. She grabbed her bag on her bed and walked towards her bedroom door but In-youp keeps on blocking the door. She sighed and looked up at him. The difference in their height is not that much but she still has to look up whenever they are near each other. "Let me pass, Mr. Hwang," she sweetly said.
"Don't go," he whispered which made her heart flutter. He is always like this, giving him a wistful look whenever he is worried. Even though how many times she trains her heart not to fall to those gestures, she still fails. Little gestures of worry from him make her heart beat fast.
"I made sure to bring all the medicine I need so you don't have to worry," she assured him and showed him the medicine kit inside her bag. "Will you let me go now? I'm late for work," she said in a tone like she is talking to a child. In-youp let her pass eventually.
She hurriedly put her shoes on knowing that In-youp will never stop insisting that she should not go to the office. She saw In-youp wore his shoes as well which made her look at him with confusion. "I thought you do not have any schedule today. Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'll go with you and talk to your supervisor," he said nonchalantly. She stopped from what she was doing and hit his arm with her hand.
"Are you crazy? Do you want rumors to spread in the office?" She shouted at him loud enough to make him wince.
"Eish! That is why I told you not to go to work!" He shouted back.
Thinking of the conversation they had made her smile. They really are extra sometimes. They easily transition from being sweet to bickering each other. She wonders if In-youp is completely feeling alright now. They had a hearty dinner without a trace of him thinking of the accident last night, however, she still worries for him. She was thinking of texting In-youp when a car stopped in front of her.
"Get in," Ji-hoon said while smiling. He asked her about her address and she told him where her apartment is. She decided not to tell her parents she's sick today. She doesn't want to give them any more worry since they are already old plus she knows they will tell In-youp about it and knowing him, however busy his schedule is, he will find time to take care of her. She doesn't want that to happen. She doesn't want to be a burden.
They arrived at her apartment and when she was about to hop out of the car, Ji-hoon got out first and opened the door for her. "Let me escort you to your apartment." He offered.
"There's no need, Mr. Lee. Others might be looking for you in the office now," she politely declined.
"Mr. Lee? There you go again. We are out of the office remember," he said and eyed her with a smile. "Because of that, let me escort you to your apartment." She grabbed her wrist and lead her inside the complex building.
