"Ji-hoon, I --" Hee-soon was about to protest more and pull her hand from his grip when a familiar hand stopped them.
"She said she can take it from here." It was In-youp. He is wearing a black face mask and a black cap. However disguise he's in, Hee-soon can easily identify that it is him. Ji-hoon looked at In-youp and he instantly knew that it is the guy he despised the most. The reason why he approached Hee-soon in the first place.
"What are you doing here?" Hee-soon asked. Instead of answering the girl, In-youp kept staring at Ji-hoon who still doesn't let go of Hee-soon's wrist.
"Let go," he coldly said. Ji-hoon smirked and lets go of Hee-soon then raised his hand like he surrenders. In-youp then laced his fingers with Hee-soon's and dragged her inside the complex.
"Long time no see, Hwang In-youp," Ji-hoon suddenly said which caught their attention. "I believe it's been 2 years," he said and leaned his back on his car and placed his hands in his pocket, giving In-youp a cocky look.
Both In-youp and Hee-soon looked at him with confusion. How did this guy know In-youp? "Do I know you?" In-youp asked with irritation laced in his voice.
"I already expected that you will forget about me," he said and opened his car. "Anyway," he faced Hee-soon and smiled. "See you in the office, Hee-soon." He got inside his car and drove away, leaving the two confused.
"Do you know him?" Hee-soon asked In-youp who is still staring at the car speeding away from them.
"I have no idea who that asshole is," In-youp irritatingly said. He feels so annoyed as his mind recalls how Ji-hoon holds Hee-soon's wrist.
"Hey, watch your language. He's my boss," she told him.
"Your boss? You didn't tell me you have a new boss." Now he feels more annoyed. "Let's talk inside." With their hands still laced, they got inside her apartment. "Now explain," he demands as soon as he let go of her hand.
"What do I have to explain?" She asked. She is confused as to why In-youp is raging from anger.
"You having a new boss and why did your new boss drive you to your apartment even though it is not the end of office hours," he said as he placed his hands on his waist.
"What is there to explain about my new boss? He just happened to be my new boss, that's it!" She did not explain in detail how Ji-hoon became his new supervisor anymore because she knew that In-youp will think differently about it. She went to the kitchen to get herself a glass of water when she felt her head throb again.
"And he gave me a ride home in the middle of my shift because I'm sick," she continued explaining. She placed the glass she used in the sink and leaned her palms on it to support herself. She starts to feel nauseous because of her headache.
"What?" She heard In-youp said followed by his footsteps approaching her. He gently let her face him and placed his hand on her forehead, checking her temperature. "You're burning up!" His irritated expression earlier immediately changed to worry. He opened the cabinet where the medicine kit is and took medicine for flu. He then grabbed the glass she just used in the sink and filled it with drinking water. Hee-soon just watched the guy move around her apartment and did not say anything for she knew the guy knows where everything is placed.
"Here," he gave her the medicine and the glass of water. She immediately drank the pill hoping that it will make her feel better right away. She then walked to her room with In-youp following her. She laid down on her comfortable bed and just seconds later, she felt In-youp covered her body with a blanket.
"Aren't you going to change your clothes first? Don't you feel uncomfortable?" He asked as he sat beside the girl.
"I'm fine. I'll change later," she said. She faced him when she remembered that she still doesn't know why he is at her apartment right now. "By the way, why are you here? You said last night that you have a meeting with the cast and director today for your new drama."
"I forgot my wallet in the room I always use," he explained. "Also, the meeting was canceled. It's a good thing it got canceled, I now have time to look after you." He said as he removed strands of hair blocking her face.
"You don't need to take care of me, I'm not a kid anymore," she said and closed her eyes. "You can go now. I don't want you to catch flu as well. You are busy right now so you have to take care of your health." She grabbed the blanket and pulled it over her neck. She feels cold and she starts to shiver now.
"Please don't tell my parents that I'm sick. I don't want them to worry," she said with her eyes still closed. "Make sure to lock the door properly as you go out."
In-youp did not respond to everything Hee-soon said and just stared at her. He worries about the girl so much. He assumed she got the flu because of what happened last night. Damn! He was the one soaked in water but why is she the one sick and not him?
He carefully touched the girl's cheek and gently caressed it with his thumb making sure not to wake her up. He doesn't understand himself as to why he got so worked up earlier and now he regrets raising his voice at her. He once again brushed strands of hair away from her face with his fingers and decided to go out of her room.
